NJPW announces ‘Summer Struggle’, Sengoku Lord & New Japan Road events

Coming out of day one of the New Japan Cup tournament, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced additional shows that will stretch through the end of July including their 'Summer Struggle' show.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is back up and running and today, the New Japan Cup tournament kicked off with four tournament matches on the card. The winner of the New Japan Cup will go on to challenge Tetsuya Naito for both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles on July 12th which is being billed as this year’s Dominion event. Following those shows, New Japan has several event titles set up going into late July including ‘Summer Struggle’, Sengoku Lord and New Japan Road.

The announcement was made via the NJPW1972.com website. The New Japan Road show is set to emanate from Korakuen Hall while Sengoku Lord on July 25th takes place from Nagoya, Japan. The ‘Summer Struggle’ shows are taking place on July 27th and July 31st at Korakuen Hall. After Dominion, New Japan plans to slowly integrate fans back into shows. There will be fans in attendance in Osaka for their July 11th and July 12th shows.
