Rey Mysterio to wrestle at NJPW’s “Strong Style Evolved” card in Long Beach

During Saturday’s New Beginning in Osaka card, a video aired with Rey Mysterio announcing he would be wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Mysterio challenged Jushin Thunder Liger to a match for the “Strong Style Evolved” event on Sunday, March 25th in Long Beach, California.

Liger was part of the Japanese commentary team and accepted the challenge after the video aired.

This is the first match announcement for the sold-out event at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach.

Mysterio and Liger previously had a singles match back in 1996 at the WCW Starrcade event.
