WWE Raw ratings stay steady with 2% increase

The three-hour show averaged 2,257,000 viewers on the USA Network, which was up 2% from last week. The show was promoted around Beth Phoenix providing a medical update on Edge that led to a major angle with Randy Orton attacking Phoenix to end the show.

The first hour began with 2,358,000 viewers, showing more interest than the opening hour last week. In the second hour, viewership fell 2.5% to 2,297,000 and then dropped 8% to 2,115,000 viewers.

There were some positives when comparing the first and third hours. Last week saw several demos rise significantly throughout the show while this week adults 18-34 grew 6% and males 12-34 increased 3% in the third hour. The biggest drop was adults 25-54 falling 11% by the third hour and women 18-49 dropping by the same percentage.

The show did a 0.74 in the 18-49 demographic, which increased 4% this week and made Raw the top cable show on Monday night.

The largest increase was among women 12-34 which grew 18.5% this week. Last week, that demographic was down 27% week-to-week but gained 39% from hour one to hour three meaning something hit with those viewers during the episode. The demo was steady this week with a 0.33 in the first hour and 0.32 in the second and third hours.

The other area that gained was adults 18-34 that improved 15% this week. Of the key demographics, none of them decreased this week with the lowest being women 18-49 that identical to last week’s figure of 0.51.

Year-to-year, Raw was down 19% from this week in March 2019 with last year’s show averaging 2,783,000 viewers.
