Since Matt Hardy allowed his contract with WWE to expire earlier this month, there have been multiple teases of him arriving to All Elite Wrestling and those teases became a reality by the conclusion of the March 18th episode of Dynamite in Jacksonville.

Hardy made his appearance after The Inner Circle (Santana, Ortiz & Jake Hager) defeated Cody, Matt Jackson and Hangman Adam Page to determine which team gets the advantage in the Blood & Guts match on the next Dynamite. While Chris Jericho was belittling The Elite about having the Blood & Guts advantage and having the overall numbers advantage because of their attack on Nick Jackson last week, Matt Jackson picked up a microphone and said that The Elite will not be outnumbered and that he made a phone call to an old friend.

After letting his contract with WWE expire, Matt Hardy arrived in AEW and earlier during the show, AEW featured the debut of Brodie Lee, formerly known as Luke Harper who was revealed as “The Exalted One” of Dark Order.
