UFC 249 has lost a women’s strawweight contest with a report that Rose Namajunas will not be able to compete at the April 18th event on pay-per-view.

Combate in Brazil was the first to report the show with the former 115-pound champion off of the card where she was set to rematch Jessica Andrade. It is not known if UFC will find a replacement on short notice to fight Andrade.

Namajunas, 27, has not fought since May 2019 when she was knocked out by Andrade and lost her strawweight title at UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Andrade would go on to lose the title in her first defense last November against Zhang Weili.

The UFC will stage its next four events, including UFC 249 at a location they have not identified but has been reported to be the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California. The show will be headlined by Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje competing for the interim UFC lightweight title.
