The overnight figures for Friday Night SmackDown saw the show dip below two million viewers with a show promoted around the follow-up to the angle with Jeff Hardy.

Friday’s overnight figure saw the show average 1,935,000 viewers with 0.5 in the 18-49 demographic. The final number will be released Monday reflecting all the markets in the country. If the final number is close to the overnight figure, it would be SmackDown’s second-lowest figure on Fox behind the May 1st episode that averaged 1,885,000 viewers.

The show averaged 1,962,000 in the first hour and dropped to 1,908,000 in hour two.

In the main demo, SmackDown was behind a replay of ABC’s Shark Tank while 20/20 did 0.6 and 0.5 over its two-hour block. Other than news coverage, the networks are featuring rerun programming currently.

Last week’s episode that centered around a hit-and-run angle involving Jeff Hardy finished with 2,054,000 viewers and 0.6 in the main demo.

Next week’s episode of SmackDown will feature the finals of the Intercontinental title tournament with Daniel Bryan taking on AJ Styles in a match that has already been taped. It will also serve as the final episode leading to the Backlash event that weekend.
