All Elite Wrestling has announced the signing of Tay Conti as the latest addition to the women’s division following multiple matches and appearances over the past months.
Conti, real name Taynara Melo de Carvalho, was one of the many cuts made by WWE this past April after signing with the company in the fall of 2016.
During her time on NXT, Conti was briefly linked with The Undisputed Era before that affiliation was dropped. Conti also participated in the women’s battle royal at WrestleMania 34 in April 2018.
Following her release, Conti re-surfaced in AEW as part of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup where she teamed with Anna Jay of the Dark Order. The two advanced to the semi-finals where they lost to eventual winners Ivelisse & Diamante.
Several weeks ago, there was an angle where Anna Jay invited Conti to join the Dark Order but it was left open-ended if she was accepting the invitation.
Conti is 25 years old and has been wrestling since 2017.
I mean… what just happened? I’m really happy to see my best friend though!! ❤️ I love you @annajay___ https://t.co/gACHAkIFLc
