WWE SmackDown notes: Jeff Hardy proposes a Ladder match for Clash of Champions, Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks attacked by Bayley, Jeff Hardy wants a ladder match at Clash of Champions and more announcements coming out of the 9/18 episode of SmackDown.

AJ Styles and Sami Zayn went one-on-one on the 9/18 episode of SmackDown. Styles defeated Zayn in Zayn’s first match since he went on hiatus from WWE following WrestleMania 36. After their match, both men were attacked by Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy who proposed the idea of a three-way ladder match at Clash of Champions on 9/27 for the title. Hardy is scheduled to appear on Talking Smack on 9/19 to discuss his proposal.

Sasha Banks did an interview from the Performance Center to address her storyline injury after being ambushed by Bayley several weeks ago. Banks was hit from behind by Bayley during the interview and Bayley attempted to use a chair around Banks’ neck again.

Announced for next week’s RAW is a rematch of last week’s main event between Keith Lee and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Their initial bout was interrupted by RETRIBUTION which led to a brawl between RETRIBUTION and The Hurt Business (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander).

Also, Nigel McGuinness returned to the commentary desk for 205 Live. Nigel was on the call for the NXT UK TV tapings but he called the tapings from his home as they were taking place in London, England.
