**We have a new Rewind-A-SmackDown posted for members of the POST Wrestling Café with a big rundown of the first night of the WWE Draft. Plus, we discuss the civil suit filed by Samantha Tavel, Alberto Del Rio indicted on several charges, the AEW & NXT ratings from Wednesday against the VP debate, GCW’s The Collective, and an interesting interview with Kevin Owens did this week.
**We will have another G1 Climax show coming up today as Mike Murray joins me for a review of the A Block show from Osaka. On Sunday, Wai Ting is joined by Mark Buckeldee to review the B Block card in Aichi. Both shows will be available for POST Wrestling Café members.

WRESTLING NEWS
**Len Rossi, real name Len Rositano, has died at the age of 91 after suffering from cancer. Rossi was an enormous figure in Tennessee after migrating from Utica, New York where he was born. The Tennessean newspaper wrote a story on his passing, noting he began wrestling in 1958. Rossi won dozens of championships throughout his career including tag championships with partners Dick Beyer, Tex Riley, Mario Milano, Jackie Fargo, Johnny Walker, Don Carson, and Bearcat Brown among others. He also won the NWA’s Southern junior heavyweight championship seven times beginning in December 1960 defeating Bill Monroe in Nashville
His son Joey also got involved with professional wrestling throughout the ‘70s and died of lung cancer in 2003.
Rossi wrestled regularly until 1972 where a car accident slowed down his career, which officially ended several years later. His second career saw him open a health food store in 1972 and launched his own line of vitamins. He was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2004 and the NWA Hall of Fame in 2016.

**The remaining draft picks on Friday saw Humberto Carrillo, Drew Gulak, and Tucker assigned to RAW with Kalisto and Murphy set for SmackDown. This keeps the entire program together with Rollins, Murphy, and the Mysterio family as all the components have shifted to SmackDown. It’s also the break-up of Heavy Machinery with Otis remaining on SmackDown and the two giving their farewell on Talking Smack as they heard the results of the supplemental draft choices.
**The overnight figure for Friday Night SmackDown lists the show at 2,087,000 viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The final figure will be released on Monday reflecting the entire country. Obviously, if the number finishes near this level it would be a disappointment given the promotion of the draft. The NBA Finals did 5,301,000 on the overnight figures from 9-10 pm Eastern against the second hour of SmackDown.
**On 205 Live, it was announced that The Singh Brothers would be returning to the show soon. The two have not appeared on WWE programming since February prior to the pandemic affecting everything. The two are based in Canada.
**On Friday’s edition of NJPW Strong, Clark Connors defeated Danny Limelight to win the Lion’s Break Crown tournament in the final of the eight-man tournament.
**The A Block of the G1 Climax is down to Jay White, Will Ospreay, Kota Ibushi, and Kazuchika Okada tied with ten points each following today’s show in Osaka. The card in Osaka was phenomenal with three incredible matches involving Okada vs. Takagi, Ibushi vs. Suzuki, and Ishii vs. Cobb. The A Block resumes with a show on Tuesday. Sunday’s B Block show in Aichi has the following matches streaming at 5 am Eastern:

**After Spring Break, there is a Freelance Wrestling card airing at Midnight headlined by Kylie Rae defending the Freelance World Championship against Josh Alexander.
**I have not seen the show, but I saw a lot of positive reviews of GCW’s For the Culture, which was the Midnight show on Friday.
**Joseph Meehan a.k.a. ‘Joey Ryan’ has filed an additional pair of defamation lawsuits. PWinsider.com reported that the wrestler filed a suit this past Wednesday in the Central District Court of California against an unnamed woman in Texas claiming libel, emotional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and false light allegations, among his charges. The suit alleges that the woman made defamatory statements on Twitter with Meehan denying any form of assault against the woman stating any intimate acts were consensual. Meehan is seeking punitive and exemplary damages for $10 million.
The second suit was filed on September 30th against an unnamed female freelance writer in California stating her tweets were defamatory and citing her role as a freelance writer increases her credibility. He claims she made six defamatory statements through Twitter, writing, and podcast appearances. This lawsuit is filed against an additional ten “Jane Does” that gives Meehan the ability to add others as the lawsuit progresses. He is seeking $25,000 per allegation made along with non-economic damages, an injunction on the statements made, a retraction of the statements, and ordering all websites that published her comments to remove them, as well as actual damages, punitive and exemplary damages.
In total, Meehan has filed five civil suits following allegations that were made against the performer earlier this year during the Speaking Out movement.
**With Lars Sullivan’s return on Friday Night SmackDown, it was announced he would be added to the draft pool for Monday’s episode of RAW.
**Randy Orton shared this memory of Eddy Guerrero on Friday, which would have been his 53rd birthday:
I knew Eddie for a couple years. I was so young and knew that I shouldnt approach him but had the unimaginable job of wrestling in the main event on TV, so I had to. There has always been attitudes egos or whatever backstage, that will never change. But when I met eddie I forgot everything that I was supposed to know about the wrestling business. Here was this top talent, that cared enough to give me the time of day. When I thought that a simple word would bother him, or he would tell me to F off, I quickly realized that I was dead wrong and that he gaf. He saw a young newcomer to the biz who was excited to work with him and he took the time to make me feel comfortable. I take that with me these days, the understanding that the new guys aren’t anything more then exactly how I USED to be. He made me feel welcome. He made me feel important. I will forever miss him, and can say without a doubt that he was one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots. RIP
