Last week, it was reported that Marty Scurll participated at the January tapings for NJPW Strong but a new report states he will not be used.

On Wednesday, the Super J Cast reported through sources that Scurll won’t be used on Strong nor any other New Japan programming in the near future. This was later confirmed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Fightful Select was the first to report that Scurll was at the tapings and Emily Pratt of Fan Fyte added that he took part in an angle with Rocky Romero, which had yet to air on the program.

Earlier this year, Ring of Honor ceased ties with Scurll following an investigation after he was named during the Speaking Out Movement last summer. Scurll was accused of sexual assault by a woman, who was 16-years old when she alleged it occurred in 2015. Scurll issued a statement after the allegation was made and admitted to an encounter with the woman but stated it was consensual.
