New Japan Cup USA semifinals, eight-man tag set for NJPW Strong

The finals of the 2021 New Japan Cup USA tournament is inching closer and on this week’s episode of NJPW Strong, two semi-final matches are going to take place.

Lio Rush is meeting Brody King in one semifinal and Tom Lawlor is facing Hikuleo in the other. Joining those matches on Friday’s episode is an eight-man tag match that will see Karl Fredericks, Kevin Knight, The DKC & Alex Coughlin versus Misterioso, Barrett Brown, Adrian Quest & Jordan Clearwater.

The winner of the New Japan Cup tournament in Japan was Will Ospreay who went on to defeat Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis.
