AEW Dynamite notes: The Pinnacle wins Blood & Guts, Multiple title matches on 5/12

The Pinnacle emerged victorious from Blood & Guts, several title matches set for 5/12 including Jon Moxley versus Yuji Nagata

The Pinnacle (MJF, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler & Wardlow) clashed with The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz & Jake Hager) in a Blood & Guts match. After the two teams battled for over 25 minutes, the conclusion of the match saw MJF holding Jericho near the edge of the cage. Sammy Guevara, who was standing near the entrance way was told by MJF to surrender or he would toss Jericho off the cage. Sammy agreed and stated that The Inner Circle surrendered. Jericho was still tossed off the cage.

Britt Baker versus Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Title is official for Double Or Nothing on May 30th. Kenny Omega is going to be defending the AEW World Title on that show against Orange Cassidy or PAC. Those two will go one-on-one on 5/12 to determine who’ll face Omega at Double Or Nothing. Also on the 5/12 Dynamite, Cody Rhodes is going to make his Double Or Nothing announcement.

Joining the lineup for next week’s Dynamite is Miro challenging Darby Allin for the TNT Championship. Earlier in the show, Allin was tossed down a flight of stairs by Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky.

S.C.U. (Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels) will be getting their shot at the AEW Tag Titles when they meet The Young Bucks next week. Daniels and Kazarian bested Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison along with The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) to earn that opportunity. If S.C.U. loses, they will split as a team.

Prior to the aforementioned four-way tag match, while Max Caster was performing his freestyle, he stated that Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison are going to end up on Dark Side of the Ring in ten years. Pillman Jr.’s father is being profiled on the first episode of Dark Side of the Ring season 3.

Jon Moxley is defending the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title against Yuji Nagata on the 5/12 installment of Dynamite. The following video package was pushed out to promote the match:

Thunder Rosa joined the Spanish announce team for Blood & Guts. Cody Rhodes went one-on-one with QT Marshall on Dynamite and tapped him out.
