New North American Champion crowned on 6/29 WWE NXT

With the help of Hit Row, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott defeated Bronson Reed for the NXT North American Championship

The North American Championship changed hands in the main event of NXT.

Bronson Reed first captured the North American Title in May. On tonight’s NXT, he agreed to defend his title against Hit Row’s Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. As the match went on, both A.J. Francis and Ashante Thee Adonis got involved at various points and the conclusion of the bout saw Francis attempt to tackle Reed into the barricade.

Reed was able to evade but as he climbed back in the ring, he was met with a kick from Isaiah Scott that was followed up by a 450 splash and then a new North American Champion was crowned.

Over the past several weeks, Bronson Reed has been present at Raw and SmackDown tapings and he competed on the Main Event show and also defeated Drew Gulak in a dark match before SmackDown.

Reed made his NXT TV debut in the summer of 2019 as a part of the Breakout Tournament. It was announced during tonight’s show that the 2021 Breakout tourney is kicking off in two weeks.
