A familiar name was backstage at Ring of Honor’s Best in the World pay-per-view in Baltimore, Maryland.

POST Wrestling was informed that Chris Hero (Chris Spradlin) was backstage at the show and believed to be working as an agent for the show, per multiple sources.

When POST Wrestling reached out to ROH COO Joe Koff regarding Hero’s presence at the pay-per-view and potential agenting role with the promotion, he responded:

Chris was there and is always home at Ring of Honor.

We have not been able to confirm Hero’s status with the promotion beyond being present at Best in the World.

Hero has an extensive history with the promotion that began in 2006 during the ROH vs. CZW program. In the years that followed, Hero formed a memorable team with Claudio Castagnoli as The Kings of Wrestling where they won the ROH tag titles twice.

In late 2013, Hero briefly returned to the company and worked with the company through March of the following year.

Hero had been working with WWE and was part of the series of releases in April 2020.
