During the SummerSlam broadcast, WWE confirmed that they will be returning to Saudi Arabia in October with its Crown Jewel event.

A promo aired during the broadcast that announced Crown Jewel is “coming in October”.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast originally reported the event and stated the date expected was Thursday, October 21st, which POST Wrestling was also told was the planned date.

WWE has not run an event in Saudi Arabia since February 2020.

Their deal with the General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia calls for two events per year, but the shows have been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
