ROH’s Final Battle was highlighted by several appearances from talent across various promotions as the show marked its “End of an Era”.

The show included taped messages sent in from Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Jimmy Jacobs, Adam Cole, and Eddie Edwards.

Live in the arena, there were a pair of inter-promotional angles starting with IMPACT Wrestling’s Deonna Purrazzo issuing a challenge to Rok-C after her win against Willow Nightingale. Purrazzo entered the arena with the Reina de Reinas Championship, promoted her rematch for the Knockouts Championship with Mickie James at “Hard to Kill” and then wanted to face Rok-C and make it “Winner Take All”.

The other surprise was an appearance by FTR, who attacked The Briscoes after the brothers regained the ROH Tag Team Championship by beating Mike Bennett & Matt Taven. Jay Briscoe said it’s an end of an era, but they aren’t going anywhere and challenged any team out there before the lights went out and FTR appeared.

The former Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) also appeared during an angle with EC3. EC3 spoke with Eli Isom, Dak Draper, and Brian Johnson in the ring and introduced “The Titan” as Scherr walked out along with the former Wesley Blake and proceeded to destroy Isom, Draper, and Johnson. In the end, they carried the three backstage.

In the main event, Jonathan Gresham defeated Jay Lethal and was awarded the old ROH Championship title with the entire locker room surrounding the ring for the closing minutes of the match.

Ian Riccaboni signed off at the end of the night stating they would see everyone “in April”.
