IMPACT X-Division Championship: Mike Bailey (c) vs. Delirious

This is Delirious’ first match in IMPACT/TNA since his 2005 loss against Samoa Joe. Right away, they go to try and take each other down before running the ropes and Bailey stops it with a kick and starts working on the left arm of Delirious. Delirious comes back with a dropkick and a neckbreaker, before he starts kicking at Bailey. Delirious puts on the Cobra Stretch, but Bailey gets out and takes out Delirious with a running kick. Bailey continues with the kicks and hits a standing twisting splash for a two count. Delirious tricks Bailey by running the ropes, but ends up being tossed to the outside and hit with a moonsault by Bailey. They fight on the apron a bit until Delirious takes him out with a couple back body drops, and goes and grabs the X-Division title belt. Bailey stops Delirious off the ropes, but Delirious comes back with a backbreaker. Right away, Bailey stops him with a kick and tries the Ultima Weapon, but is stopped himself. They get into a chop and kick exchange, but Bailey stops with a super kick and a standing moonsault with knees. They go back and forth for a while, before Bailey sets Delirious, and hits the Flamingo Driver for the pin.

Send the Message

Honor No More is backstage and Maria talks about tonight starting the road to Glory. Kenny King chimes in about getting a title shot against Mike Bailey. The OGK talked about finding out the Bound for Glory match on Twitter. Eddie Edwards gets in Vincent’s face and says PCO failed him, then tells PCO that he failed, but Vincent told Edwards to trust him and walked away with Vincent. Edwards riled up the rest of Honor No More saying tonight they will send the message.

Honor No More (PCO & Vincent) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)

PCO and Chris Sabin start the match slowly, with Sabin trying to take PCO down with shoulder tackles, but failing. Alex Shelley comes in and they double team on PCO until he tags out to Vincent. The MCMG double team on Vincent in the corner, hitting a double stomp for a two-count. More double-team stuff, but Vincent is able to fight his way out before tagging back out. PCO and Vincent now start keeping Shelley in their corner, until Vincent hits PCO a couple of times by accident. Sabin makes the hot tag and takes out Vincent with a bulldog and a jumping kick. PCO comes in and works on the back of the neck of Sabin for a two count, followed by a reverse DDT as Vincent comes in and hits Redrum for a two. Shelley knocks PCO to the outside, as MCMG works on Vincent, and hits him with a double driver as Shelley gets the pin for the win.

Winners: Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) by pinfall at 11:29

Mickie James vs. Gisele Shaw

The story here is that it’s Mickie James’ ‘last rodeo’ to get the Knockouts Championship, and if she loses on her journey, she will go home. Gisele Shaw came out with a ‘happy retirement’ balloon for Mickie. They start the match with arm drags and takedowns, with Mickie working on the left arm of Shaw. James hits a head scissors before getting stopped with a shoulder breaker for a one count. Shaw takes control now, keeping James in the corner before kicking her off the apron. Shaw tries a baseball slide, but gets caught in the apron so James goes and hits a dropkick to her instead. They brawl a bit on the outside, as Shaw tries to win by count-out. Shaw ends up going for a bunch of pin attempts, but James blocks her knee strike attempts and hits a neckbreaker for a two-count. James then ducks a spin kick attempt, goes to the top rope, and hits a Meteora for a two. Shaw stops Mick DT for a spin kick for a two. James fights back and dodges more before hitting Mick DT for the pin and the win.

Winner: Mickie James by pinfall at 12:21

Triple Threat Revolver Match: Kenny King vs. Laredo Kid vs. Alex Zayne vs. Trey Miguel vs. Black Taurus vs. Yuya Uemura vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Mia Yim

The winner of this match will challenge Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship at Bound for Glory. Mia Yim, Laredo Kid, and Trey Miguel start the match, as commentary mentions Miguel is the only person to have previously been in one of these matches with the previous one being in No Surrender 2021. Laredo knocks Yim and Miguel to the outside and takes them out with a top rope moonsault. Laredo takes control of them and hits them with a 450 Splash for a two-count on Yim. Yim and Miguel start fighting on the top rope, but Yim chops him off and hits a Tornado DDT and Eat Defeat on Laredo Kid to eliminate him at 3:00. Next in, to replace him was Alex Zayne and catches Yim right away, driving her into the apron. Zayne starts taking out both Yim and Miguel and goes right for the pins. Zayne and Miguel go at it, with Miguel hitting a reverse Rana, but Yim comes in and takes out Zayne with a pin and elimination at 6:13. Kenny King comes in next, but taunts Yim by not getting in the ring. Miguel takes him out, as he and Yim start double-teaming King until they start arguing with each other. King starts attacking Yim while talking trash the whole time, but Yim comes back and hits Pay Dirt, but King’s foot is on the rope. Yim and Miguel start running the ropes, just for Yim to dive into King on the outside. Yim and Miguel continue going at it, but King sneaks in and rolls up Yim for the pin and elimination at 10:59. Yuya Uemura is next and goes after Miguel and King with speed. A lot of kicks between these three, but Miguel stops Uemura with the Lightning Spiral, for the pin and elimination at 14:24. Frankie Kazarian comes out next representing AEW and all three men lay each other out. They all go back and forth before Kazarian traps Miguel on a chicken wing as Miguel taps out to get eliminated at 17:41. Black Taurus comes out as the final entrant as the match now becomes one fall to the finish. Taurus goes to town with his power moves, hitting a couple sling blades on King but Kazarian breaks up the pin attempts. All three go back and forth with offense, including King hitting a kick to the face of Taurus, who kicks out at two. King heads to the top rope, but Kazarian stops him. Taurus puts Kazarian on his shoulders, but he’s able to roll up Taurus for a two count as King jumps off and misses them both. They fight in and out of the ring before Kazarian catches King springboarding off the ropes into a cutter for the pin and the win.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian by pinfall at 24:08

That Was Sick

We go backstage where Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary & Jessicka bump into Gail Kim and ask for their Knockouts Tag Team Championship rematch so Kim suggested it happens at Bound for Glory. Taya agrees but says that she will team up with Jessicka instead of Rosemary and Rosemary is excited on how this will play out. Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green jump into the picture and say it doesn’t matter what combination they pick, they will still be the losers. Chelsea puts her hands on Taya and gets shoved into the wall by Jessicka.

Bobby Fish in IMPACT Wrestling

We go back to the ring where Bobby Fish makes his unexpected debut to a big reaction. Fish grabs a mic and makes a joke about it being hot in here due to all the heat that’s on him lately. Fish talks about being turned into a lightning rod for controversy and being surprised since he never considered himself as a problem. Fish continues that after more than 20 years, he’s just not here for the bullshit and how IMPACT can’t fire him since he doesn’t work here. Fish says he’s kept an eye on the locker room here and he’s a man who’s never been afraid to call somebody out and call somebody for being less than legit, but this locker room is full of legit dudes. To sum it up he’s here to pick a fight as he gets interrupted by Raj Singh and Shera. Singh says Shera will gladly rip Fish’s head off, but Fish says he doesn’t know who they are. Singh says his name and calls Fish a punk, before they start beating up Fish. Fish is able to fight them both off and puts the Fish Hook on Singh, before Shera is able to drag him away.

Honor No More (Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) (w/ Maria Kanellis-Bennett) vs. Rich Swann, Heath & Josh Alexander

Heath starts the match right away attacking Eddie Edwards, but Josh Alexander quickly gets tagged in. Edwards doesn’t want anything to do with him, so he tags out to Mike Bennett. Alexander hits a couple of hip tosses before getting distracted by Edwards. Rich Swann tags in and continues the attack on Bennett. Heath works on Bennett in the corner, but Bennett is then able to reverse Swann and tag out to Matt Taven. Heath tries to attack Edwards but gets sent to the corner by the referee. Honor No More is able to drag Swann to the outside, and send him into the ring post. They continue to triple team Swann in the corner, before Bennett hits a stalling suplex for a two. Swann is able to fight all three of them off, but The OGK knocks his partners off the apron as he tries to make the tag out. Bennett and Swann go at it and knock each other down with a double cross body. Heath gets tagged in and goes to town on Honor No More before getting hit with a chop block from behind by Bennett. They now start triple-teaming Heath and attack his leg against the ring post. Heath sends Bennett and Taven to the outside and tags in Alexander who is now all alone in the ring with Edwards as they start brawling. The OGK tries to stop him, but Alexander takes them out with a double suplex before diving onto Edwards. Alexander catches Edwards on the top rope and powerbombs him onto Taven and Bennett. All six men get in the ring and start exchanging moves, but Edwards catches Alexander with a Blue Thunder Bomb for the two. The OGK attacks Heath on the outside, but Swann dives onto them. Inside, Alexander and Edwards go at it, Taven tries to get involved and Alexander puts him in an ankle lock. As it’s locked down, Edwards hits Alexander with the Boston Knee Party followed up by the Die Hard Driver for the pin and the win.

Winners: Honor No More (Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) by pinfall at 16:06

Commentary brings up the fact that Eddie Edwards is the first person to pin Josh Alexander in almost a year.

Mickie James Challenges Mia Yim

We go to the back where Mickie James tells Mia Yim she was blown away by her match tonight and made history by having women be treated as true equals. Yim said it wasn’t for women like Mickie she wouldn’t be able to do any of that. James says she wants the best of the best and challenges Yim for Bound for Glory, and she agrees.

Pick Your Poison Match: Jordynne Grace vs. Max the Impaler (w/ Father James Mitchell)

Max the Impaler was the ‘poison’ that Masha Slamovich picked for Jordynne Grace in this non-title match before they faced off at Bound for Glory. Max takes Grace down right away before choking her out in the corner. Grace tries to fight Max off with a boot but gets shoulder blocked right down. Grace lands some elbows and hits double knees to the back sending Max on the outside, where Max catches a diving Grace and slams her onto the apron. Max starts dragging Grace around the ring and sends her into the barricade. Max starts choking Grace up against the ring post before slamming her face first into the steel steps. Max continues to beat down on Grace all around the ring while breaking the referee count. Grace is able to power out and hit an Alabama Slam on Max and go back into the ring. Grace dodges a shoulder block from Max and hits double knees and the elbow in the corner followed by the Vader Bomb for a two count. Max stops Grace and hits her with a spear for a two count. Max tries a superplex but Grace flips out and hits a powerbomb followed by the Grace Driver for the pin and the win.

Raven Announced For The IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame

They announce Raven as the newest member of the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame and his induction ceremony will be Friday, October 7th at Bound for Glory.

Gia Miller is backstage with Moose and asks for his thoughts as he enters his first ever Barbed Wire Massacre Match. Moose says he’s the only person in this match who’s been in all the types of hardcore matches unlike his opponents tonight and he’ll show them why he’s called the Wrestling God.

Barbed Wire Massacre Match: Moose vs. Steve Maclin vs. Sami Callihan

Sami Callihan came out dressed like Cactus Jack as there were barbed wire-covered doors, ropes and weapons in the ring. Right as the match starts, Callihan dodges Moose who bumps into Steve Maclin and sends him through one of the doors. Callihan follows that with a Cactus Driver ‘97 on Moose. Moose and Callihan bounce off the barbed wire ropes before Moose dives onto Maclin on the outside. Callihan uses a barbed wire wet floor sign on Moose. Callihan grabs a table and sends Moose into it with a Death Valley Driver as Moose screams in pain with the barbed wire all on him. Maclin sends Callihan into the ropes and knocks Moose down with a piece of a table. Callihan is busted open now as he suplexes Maclin off the steel steps onto the floor. Moose and Maclin go at it, as Moose uses a barbed wire rolling pin on Maclin’s face, busting him open now. Maclin hits a lariat and an Olympic Slam on Moose for a two count. Moose hits Maclin with a drop kick and a superplex as Callihan is there to smack Moose’s head with the wet floor sign. All three men slowly start striking each other before speeding it up with suplexes onto the ropes. Callihan suplexes Maclin onto a barbed wire chair before getting a barbed wire Nintendo 64 controller and stabbing Maclin’s face with it and wrapping the wire around Maclin’s mouth. Moose and Maclin go at it, with Moose power bombing Maclin onto the ropes and then hits a urinage on Callihan onto a barbed wire ball for a two count. Maclin tries to pin Moose, but Callihan breaks it up. Callihan placed Moose on a barbed wire table on the outside and teases diving onto Moose, but Maclin stops Callihan by choking him out and ends up diving onto Moose with a barbed wire-covered chair, but the table doesn’t break. Maclin grabs a trash can lid, but Callihan stops him with a bat, hits him a couple times with it and sets up the barbed wire door against the corner where he power bombs Maclin through it. Callihan follows that by Cactus Driver ‘97, but Maclin kicks out at two. Callihan tries another Cactus Drive ‘97, but Maclin stops him with a low blow followed by the KIA onto the barbed wire door for the pin and the win.
