Karl Anderson says he’ll defend NEVER Title on his own time, won’t be at 11/5 NJPW Battle Autumn

NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson states that he'll be defending the title on his own time and won't be at NJPW Battle Autumn

Karl Anderson addresses the NEVER Openweight Title situation.

When The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) made their returns to WWE to align with AJ Styles, Anderson was and still is in possession of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s NEVER Openweight Title. Anderson won the belt from Tama Tonga at Dominion.

His next title defense is scheduled for November 5th at NJPW Battle Autumn in Osaka against Hikuleo. On that same day, Gallows and Anderson are scheduled to team with AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

In a video posted to Anderson’s Instagram page, alongside Gallows, he stated that he’ll defend the belt on his own time and will not be at Battle Autumn. Gallows added that all Karl’s bookings must go through him and since New Japan did not clear it, Anderson will not be there.

The Good Brothers were in action on the 10/18 WWE NXT. They tagged with Cameron Grimes and scored a win over The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler).

The NEVER Title match is still listed on NJPW’s website for Battle Autumn on 11/5.
