New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH have announced a joint pay-per-view to take place in June.

On Wednesday morning, the three promotions revealed details of All Together Again, on June 9th at Sumo Hall, Tokyo.

At a press conference, NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi said that the event would mark a “feeling of renewal” after the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. A portion of the proceeds will go to charity, with further details to be announced.

The show will air live on New Japan World, at a cost of ¥3,980 (roughly $30 US). Commentary will be available in English as well as Japanese. Tickets go on sale April 23rd.

NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya, AJPW’s Kento Miyahara and NJPW’s Hiroshi Tanahashi appeared at the press conference.

Kiyomiya said:

When the first All Together happened, I was still in middle school. But talking to the staff that were there that day, they explained how there was a real sense of togetherness, and that for the people to have fun, the staff had to have fun as well. I feel the same way from a wrestler’s standpoint as well, and even though I’ll be competing, I want to enjoy this event.

Miyahara commented:

I’m already excited to be a part of this event, to combine all three of our companies. When cheering returned to pro wrestling, that was when we were able to have a new start. I hope pro wrestling fans are pumped for the kind of card that only an event like this can offer. I’m more excited than anyone.

Tanahashi added:

Over ten years have gone by since the last All Together. I think the primary goal here is for wrestling fans to enjoy themselves, but then to take a positive energy and power that wrestling provides, and bring that to their families, their friends and their workplaces. I think that professional wrestling can bring a tremendous positive energy to the world on June 9.

All Together Again revives an event that was first held in 2011 as a fundraiser in response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan that year.

All Together returned in 2012, and was the last time the event was held.

The main event of the 2011 show saw Go Shiozaki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Suwama defeat Kenso, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Takashi Suigura.

In the 2012 main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Suwama, and Takeshi Morishima defeated Go Shiozaki, Seiya Sanada (now IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA), and Tetsuya Naito.
