A true crime book covering the life and death of Dino Bravo is in the works.

Pat Laprade and long-time writing partner Bertrand Herbert have announced their next project to cover the life of Bravo, which ended when he was killed in March 1993.

Bravo – real name Adolfo Bresciano – was killed on March 10, 1993, after being shot in his home eleven times including four times in the head. This occurred while his wife Diane Rivest and six-year-old daughter Claudia were out at the daughter’s ballet class.

Bravo began training for professional wrestling in 1970 and was a fixture in Quebec and abroad including Eddie Einhorn’s IWA and the WWWF.

In 1978, Bravo won the WWWF tag titles with Dominic DeNucci and held the titles together for three months, losing them to the Yukon Lumberjacks.

Bravo was one of the founders of the Quebec-based International Wrestling in 1981 with Frank Valois, Tony Mule, and Gino Brito with Bravo among the promotion’s flagship stars alongside Rick Martel.

By the end of 1986, International Wrestling was struggling with Martel and The Rougeau Brothers leaving for the WWF and Bravo would follow in 1987.

Bravo would be a mid-card fixture in the WWF for the next four years and his contract was not renewed in 1992.

After his time with the WWF, Bravo was believed to have gotten involved in smuggling with the mob and serving as its debt collector.

In 2021, Dark Side of the Ring covered the murder of Bravo and went through the various theories that led to his demise.

Laprade has stated they expect the book to be released by ECW Press in the fall of 2025.
