AEW Dynamite drops to lowest viewership of year, maintains demo audience

AEW Dynamite fell to its lowest viewership of the year while maintaining its audience in the key demo for the fourth week in a row.

The May 3rd episode of Dynamite in Baltimore averaged 776,000 viewers and approximately 365,000 (0.28) in the 18-49 demographic. (Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily)

The show did sustain a 10 percent drop in its viewership, which was the show’s lowest since June 15, 2022, and second lowest since moving to TBS at the start of 2022.

The notable decline was seen among adults 50+, which dropped from 0.39 to 0.32 this week with the show airing against both the NBA and NHL playoffs.

The 18-49, 18-34, and 35-49 demos were identical to the numbers posted last week.

In the 18-49 demo, males increased by five percent this week while females in the demo dropped by seven percent.

Dynamite aired against the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics, which averaged 4.5 million viewers and 1.56 in the 18-49 demo on TNT and was the top-performing program on television on Wednesday. Dynamite was also topped by Vanderpump Rules (1.4 million viewers and 0.58) and ESPN’s coverage of the NHL playoffs with back-to-back games beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Dynamite ranked #8 among cable originals.

In Canada, Dynamite didn’t rank among the top ten sports programs with approximately 67,000 viewers and 32,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. It was Dynamite’s lowest viewership in Canada since December 21, 2022.

The penultimate episode of AEW All Access averaged 308,000 viewers and approximately 117,000 (0.09) in the 18-49 demographic, which ranked #35 among cable originals.

The viewership for the reality series saw a slight three percent increase while the 18-49 audience was unchanged from the week prior.

In the key demo, males grew by 17 percent while women dropped by 15 percent.

Adults 18-34 grew by 20 percent and adults 35-49 declined by 8.5 percent.

All Access aired against the final 24 minutes of the 76ers vs. Celtics game, as well as the Edmonton Oilers vs. Vegas Golden Knights, which averaged 1.3 million viewers and 0.50 on ESPN.

The season finale of All Access is next Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET.
