Bad Bunny made an appearance at the close of Friday’s episode of SmackDown in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The star led members of the LWO to the ring as they came to the rescue of Rey Mysterio.

Rey had teamed up with Zelina Vega for a mixed tag main event against the Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio.

Ripley and Dominik lost the match, but Damian Priest and Finn Balor then entered the ring to attack Rey.

At this point, Bad Bunny appeared to a huge reception, leading Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro to make the save.

Bad Bunny and Priest faced off but Dominik ran in, allowing Priest to escape. Bunny then donned an LWO shirt as the show went off-air.

Elsewhere on the show, Cameron Grimes made his post-draft appearance backstage.

He was interrupted by Baron Corbin while speaking to Adam Pearce. Corbin made fun of Grimes as “Mr. Irrelevant” for being drafted last. Grimes traded barbs with Corbin, who is a free agent having not been drafted to either brand.

This led to the making of Grimes’ first main roster match for the next episode of SmackDown on Friday, May 12th.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will return to SmackDown next week.

Also next week, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be defended by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez against Bayley and Dakota Kai.

Elsewhere on Friday’s episode, Gallows and Anderson of the OC defeated The Viking Raiders, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Karrion Kross, and Street Profits bested Imperium.

Earlier, Bianca Belair was attacked by Damage CTRL as she was delivering a promo ahead of her Backlash title match with IYO SKY for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Cody Rhodes delivered a promo to a rapturous reception from the San Juan crowd. He promised to defeat Brock Lesnar at Backlash in order to “get back on the road to finishing the story.”

SmackDown results — May 5th, 2023:

  • Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. The Viking Raiders (w/ Valhalla)
  • Street Profits def. Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci)
  • Shinsuke Nakamura def. Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett)
