A new role for Hiromu.

Earlier this year, Bushiroad Move, a subsidiary of Bushiroad revealed the first trailer for the anime feature film titled ‘RE:STARS’. It is going to be released in theaters in Japan on July 21st.

One of the voice actors in the film is New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi. He is playing the role of ‘Taku’, a Director of a survival program that characters ‘Eita’ and ‘Karina’ are part of.

Here is the synopsis for the film, courtesy of Crunchyroll

Eita Hoshizora, an 18-year-old male college student, has exceptional musical talent and singing voice, but a certain incident prevents him from singing in front of others. One day, his twin sister, Karina Hoshizora, a top idol, asks him to stand on stage in her place…? Unable to refuse her selfish sister’s request, Eita pretends to be her sister, but this upsets her sponsors and she finds herself in a situation that threatens to dry her out of the entertainment business! Eita struggles to regain her position as a top idol in the special world of show business, but… In this coming-of-age idol comedy, a sister and brother switch places and live as idols!

On August 19th, Takahashi and Rocky Romero are co-producing the second NJPW All Star Junior Festival. The event is emanating from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
