Multiple announcements from Cody Rhodes.
Starting off the October 10th episode of NXT on USA Network was The American Nightmare and one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes had three announcements to get out to the public. He first revealed that in addition to the Women’s Breakout tournament, there is going to be a 2023 Breakout tournament for the men’s division.
He then went on to announce the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Rhodes was also named General Manager for the night by Shawn Michaels.
Coming out to the ring as Rhodes was speaking was NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov. They were interrupted by WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. This was to set up an NXT Championship match between Dragunov and Mysterio. Rhodes stated that L.A. Knight will be the referee for the bout.
