Hayashishita wants to wear the red belt again.

The 25-year-old Utami Hayashishita ended her 2020 as World of Stardom Champion. She captured the belt in November of that year and dropped the title in December 2021 to Syuri

She told ENCOUNT during their chat that-that period of her career is something she is proud of because she was able to lead STARDOM. She mentioned that crowds were not able to cheer, but one of the things she appreciated about the title win was that she beat Mayu Iwatani to become champion.

When I was World Champion, there weren’t as many people as there are now (in the crowd) and it was a quieter environment, but I was proud that I had led STARDOM… Especially since I won the belt from Mayu Iwatani…

She went on to express that she wants to become World of Stardom Champion again. Utami stated that the NJPW STRONG and IWGP Women’s Championships are special, but they should not be compared to the World of Stardom Title.

I want to wear the red (World Title)… People will talk about which one is the greatest, but for me, the red belt is the best. I think the strongest belt in STARDOM should be the red belt, and IWGP and STRONG are ‘special’ belts, so I don’t think they should be compared to the red belt.

I think the red belt is the one that shows ‘champion’ or ‘strong person…’ so I think I am the one who looks best with it.

The World of Stardom Championship was vacated as Tam Nakano is recovering from a knee injury. Competing for the vacant title at Dream Queendom will be Suzu Suzuki and Maika.
