Tony Khan confirms Andrade El Idolo’s contract is up, addresses Rafael Morffi & QT Marshall’s AEW departures

Khan addresses exits from the company.

To start off his solo scrum session at the Worlds End media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan addressed departures from AEW and contracts running out.

He started off with Q.T. Marshall. He stated that Marshall is someone he respects. Khan dove into Marshall’s role in the development of wrestlers in AEW such as TBS Champion Julia Hart. He said the door is always open for Marshall to return. He considers Marshall a good friend and any wrestling company would be lucky to have him.

Khan then moved over to Andrade El Idolo, who lost to Miro at Worlds End. Khan said his contract is up and it stands, does not see him renewing his contract. He has a ton of respect for El Idolo and if they could have reached a new agreement, he would have been someone that AEW slotted in a prominent position and they’ve done everything they could to show Andrade he’s valued. Khan said if that was his last match in AEW, he went out on a high note.

He then transitioned over to Rafael Morrfi, who served as Vice President of Live Events and touring. He said Morffi has been a huge part of AEW since day one and he’ll miss him very much. Morrfi thanked AEW and Tony Khan on X

Thank you @TonyKhan @AEW talent, staff. I’ll forever remember my time at #AEW fondly. 2024 will be the start of a new era in my professional career. Been blessed with a wonderful opportunity. Excited to start this new journey & challenge soon. Happy New Year-stay safe & sound!
