CM Punk sustained a major injury at the Royal Rumble this past Saturday.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was the first to report that Punk suffered an injury during the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Mike Johnson at PWinsider.com confirms that Punk suffered a torn right triceps and is expected to require surgery, making him unavailable to perform at WrestleMania in April.

The news of the injury to Punk was confirmed by a source at WWE to POST Wrestling.

It would be the second time Punk has torn his triceps, although he tore the triceps in his left arm in September 2022 during a match with Jon Moxley at AEW All Out.

This was Punk’s third match since returning to WWE after a pair of live event matches in December.

Johnson added that Punk is in Tampa for tonight’s edition of Raw.

Correction: We initially had the two arm injuries mixed but the correct ones are listed. The injury at All Out in 2022 was to his left arm and this is one with the right arm.
