Lita and Trish are up for the challenge.
WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita were the focus of a Q&A session at For the Love of Wrestling. As the session rolled on, they were asked about having one more championship run.
Lita brought up the idea of going after the WWE Women’s Tag Titles with Trish. Following that, it was mentioned that the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are The Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane & Asuka). Stratus sent a message to the duo.
Lita: We have touched on that. It’s a great question. I feel like that should be the last question but, only because it’s awesome. But, people like to talk about this imaginary curse of the (WWE Women’s) Tag Titles but I think that if Trish and I were Tag Champs that somehow the curse would magically disappear.
Stratus: What do you guys think of that?… (Our message to The Kabuki Warriors is) You’re not ready for Team Bestie.
Sane and Asuka are members of Damage CTRL along with Dakota Kai and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY. They used the numbers game to take out Bayley on the 3/15 SmackDown.
Naomi came to Bayley’s aid but Damage CTRL beat her down as well. Bayley is challenging SKY for her championship at WrestleMania 40.
