An extensive chat with Giulia.

STARDOM co-founder Rossy Ogawa officially launched his new promotion, Dream Star Fighting Marigold. The first show is taking place on May 20th from Korakuen Hall and the full match card has been rolled out

Coming off the heels of the Marigold announcement press conference, Hiroshi Arai of Proresu-TODAY conducted an interview with Giulia, who’ll be in the main event of the promotion’s debut show.

Looking back at her time with STARDOM, Giulia had been thinking that her run there would be done once her deal expired. When she heard rumors of Rossy Ogawa starting a new organization, she was interested in going where he was. She went on to state that he is not the reason she left STARDOM.

I was thinking that the next time my contract expired would be the end, actually (Giulia said about her time with STARDOM). There were certainly rumors (of a new organization). Did I ask Mr. Ogawa to create a new organization? I didn’t, I didn’t (she laughed). But the moment I heard about it, I wanted to follow Mr. Ogawa… There are a lot of things going on. I don’t mean to be defensive, but Ogawa-san is not at fault. I want to say that, seriously.

In early April, Giulia, Rossy and William Regal were seated front row at NXT Stand & Deliver and Giulia was shown on-camera. She reiterated that she was surprised by being spotlighted. She went on to state that her time with Marigold may be short.

I was surprised when I was suddenly singled out by the camera (at NXT Stand & Deliver). I can’t say anything definite about that yet, but it may be that my time as a member of Marigold is short-lived. That means there is a possibility that I won’t be here forever.

The former World of Stardom Champion further elaborated on the previous quote and said one never knows what can happen in life.

She was not expecting to be spotlighted at Stand & Deliver and never thought she’d be shaking hands with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. Giulia feels the women’s wrestling landscape is boring when there is one strong entity and that’s why she wants to give people a choice.

As I said at the (Marigold) press conference, you never know what will happen in life. Maybe something will happen tomorrow and I won’t be able to wrestle. I was shown watching NXT. I never expected that, and I never thought I’d shake hands with Triple H. Also, I understand that the women’s professional world is boring if it’s just one strong team. That’s why I want to give both wrestlers and customers a choice. I don’t know how much time I have, so I really can’t waste (any) moment…

Fightful Select reported that ‘the belief’ within NXT is that she will have her debut match for the company at the Heatwave Premium Live Event on July 7th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Giulia was in action at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s WRESTLE MAGIC pay-per-view and in the main event of Marigold’s debut show, she’ll be teaming with Utami Hayashishita to take on Sareee and Bozilla.
