An explanation for why Minnesota is not hosting WrestleMania 41.

As the Kentucky Derby was about to get underway, the WWE WrestleMania 41 location announcement was made during the broadcast.

Next year’s event is emanating from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 19th and 20th.

Minneapolis, Minnesota submitted their pitch to host WrestleMania 41 at U.S. Bank Stadium. StarTribune published an article and they received a comment from Wendy Blackshaw, President and Chief Executive of Minnesota Sports and Events. She stated that Minnesota is not hosting the two-day event due a change in direction by ownership, but added that they are in talks about bringing a WWE event to the city.

We were informed by WWE that Minnesota would not host WrestleMania in 2025 due to a change in direction by new ownership. Although disappointed, we are in discussions with WWE about future events in Minnesota. We are optimistic that Minnesota will host WWE events here in the future.

In April, WWE President Nick Khan stated that Las Vegas was being considered to host WrestleMania 41.
