NXT Heatwave notes: Wes Lee to figure out what’s next after loss, Great American Bash TV special, Roxanne retains

Wes Lee was on the losing end of the North American Championship match at Heatwave. Going forward, as long as Oba Femi is champion, he can no longer challenge for the title. Lee was interviewed backstage and said he’ll figure out his next move and he’ll see everyone at TV.

Great American Bash is going to be a television special on August 6th on SYFY.

The NXT Women’s Championship remains in Roxanne Perez’s possession. She scored a win over Lola Vice to keep the title.

The duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom held onto the NXT Tag Team Titles by besting Andre Chase and Duke Hudson.

For the second time, Kelani Jordan successfully defended the Women’s North American Championship. She defeated Sol Ruca in a 11-minute match.

On the Countdown to Heatwave pre-show, Canada’s Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic bested Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. Later in the show, Grace claimed that she was the MVP of their team and would not be teaming with Petrovic anymore. It was then made official that they’ll be going one-on-one on 7/9.

The following bouts were added to the 7/9 NXT TV lineup:

  • NXT Heritage Cup: Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. Lexis King
  • The O.C. (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs. O.T.M. (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)
  • Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs. Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe
