De Lander states that she does not know any details about the situation.
A live episode of TNA iMPACT took place on January 23rd and it featured the return of Steph De Lander. She had been out of action after recovering from neck surgery. De Lander showed up for a segment with Sami Callihan with the Digital Media Championship on her shoulder.
The now-former holder of the title, PCO, smashed the Digital Media Title at GCW’s The People vs. GCW event. He is no longer under contract to TNA.
In storyline, De Lander was married to PCO and said she obtained the belt via their divorce. While appearing for a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, she commented on what PCO did at the GCW event and stated in character that that’s what happens when someone loses her.
She would later address the situation on a more serious note. De Lander said she does not know any details. She added that she has is the legitimate Digital Media Championship and PCO did not destroy the actual belt.
He did (De Lander agreed that PCO had a ‘temper tantrum’). He acted out but that’s okay. Everyone does when they lose me. But no, I’m happy about it. There’s people that aren’t happy but, I think it’s pretty remarkable that I’m not even medically cleared yet and I just won my first championship in TNA. I think you gotta be special to pull that one off.
Let me explain: In wrestling, oftentimes, exactly what you guys see on Twitter is what we see on Twitter and what we know so, I don’t have any insider scoops. I know everyone wants the tea, but I actually don’t know what the tea is at all. But what I do know is that right now, I have the TNA Digital Media Championship and this is 100 percent legit. This is the championship so, I don’t have any details on what happened but, I mean, it sure as hell worked out pretty well for me so, I’m not mad at it. Thank you husband. Thank you PCO.
De Lander is not medically cleared to compete, so her real-life significant other Mance Warner was introduced into the fold to defend the title on her behalf.
