IYO SKY captures Women’s World Title on WWE Raw, defending against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41

IYO SKY versus Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.

The main event of Monday Night Raw was a Women’s World Championship bout between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.

Going into the match, Ripley was champion and watching from ringside was women’s Elimination Chamber winner Bianca Belair. Belair was there because she is challenging for the Women’s World Title at WrestleMania 41.

There was a point during the match when Belair was encouraging both Ripley and SKY to make it back into the ring before the 10 count. Ripley got into the ring first, but she noticed Belair cheering on SKY to make it back into the ring. Ripley went to get in Belair’s face and questioned if she was scared to face her at WrestleMania.

The exchanging of words led to Ripley shoving Belair. Bianca grabbed Rhea from behind to pull her off the ring apron. Referee Jessicka Carr saw what happened, but she opted not to throw the match out because it was for the championship.

When Ripley got back into the ring, she took SKY up to the top rope for a Riptide and before executing the move, she yelled to Belair that she’d see her at WrestleMania. SKY was able to counter into a hurricanrana.

She then went for her ‘Over-the-Moonsault’ and pinned Ripley to become WWE Women’s World Champion. It is official that SKY will defend the belt against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.
