
As WWE World Heavyweight Jey Uso was addressing Logan Paul ahead of their title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, GUNTHER came to the ring. He stated that he’ll be facing the winner of Uso versus Paul on the June 9th Raw in Phoenix, Arizona which is the Raw after the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. After the segment, Uso was attacked backstage by Bron Breakker. Earlier in the program, Seth Rollins told Breakker he had one more job for him to get done before leaving the venue. Breakker versus Uso in a non-title match is set for 5/19.
There were multiple tributes to the late Terrance Brunk (Sabu). There was a graphic to start the show, a slideshow with commentary from Michael Cole and Pat McAfee about Sabu’s career and then during CM Punk’s entrance, he did Sabu’s signature point to the sky.
Qualifying matches for the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank Ladder matches begin on the 5/16 Friday Night SmackDown and will continue on the proceeding episode of Raw.
A.J. Styles scored a victory over Finn Bálor. Bálor was distracted by Penta taking down J.D. McDonagh and Carlito at ringside. Bálor and Styles are now 2-2 in singles matches. On 5/19, Styles and Penta are teaming up to take on Bálor and McDonagh.
Joining the match lineup for 5/19 is a singles match between Sheamus and Grayson Waller.
