Thea Hail loses title eliminator despite earning tap
This week’s episode of NXT started with a recap of the recent developments surrounding NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who has the entire division after her newly won title. The video package included her win last week against Lainey Reid, and the announcement of the tournament to determine her next challenger – which started on this week’s episode.
For those who need a refresher: Four singles matches happened on this week’s NXT. The winners will face off on next week’s episode as part of a four-way match, with the prevailing talent on that card going on to face Jayne at WWE Evolution for the NXT women’s world title.
The first of four tournament matches, a bout between Jaida Parker and Thea Hail, opened the card. Hail jumped Parker during her entrance before the bout officially started. The match went to the outside just before a commercial break, where Parker missed on a move, causing her to go crashing into a steel staircase.
Hail caught Parker with a kimura submission hold as the match returned from a break. While Parker escaped the move, Hail tried for the submission two more times immediately after losing grip on her previous hold. Hail earned a tap upon the third attempt, although since the referee didn’t see the tap as it happened, the match continued.
Hail let go of the hold and started to celebrate what she thought was a submission win, only to be told that the match was still going. As she debated with the ref, Parker scored with a Hipnotic, earning her a pinfall win in nine minutes. A premature celebration from Hail means she won’t be in the #1 contenders bout next week.
Backstage, Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura were seen chatting with Elijah, their tag partner for this episode. Hank and Tank showed up to remind Briggs and Inamura that they’ll be facing off for their tag titles sometime in the future. Oba Femi came by to chat with everyone else, then went face to face with Trick Williams in a tense moment.

A video package aired for Blake Monroe, hyping that she’s on her way to NXT tonight for her contract signing. Monroe is seemingly in tune with the current Labubu craze, as one of the dolls was seen in her closet.
Lash Legend advances to four-way
In the next Evolution Eliminator, Kelani Jordan and Lash Legend faced off.
Jordan scored a springboard moonsault to the outside a minute and a half into the match, just before a commercial break. There were some fun back-and-forth exchanges during commercials – Legend notably connected with some thudding chops at one point.
Legend scored with a big pump kick for a near fall shortly after the show came back. Jordan started to mount a comeback after escaping an Argentine Backbreaker, following up by scoring with a Codebreaker. She hit a Sliced Bread, then came off the top with a frogsplash, earning her a two-count.
After a pair of reversals, Legend stopped Jordan from coming off the ropes with a split-legged moonsault. She went to the top with Jordan and tried for a slam off the top, but Jordan countered it mid-air into a crossbody as they both went down.
Jordan came off the top with a 450 splash, but Legend put up her knees to prevent the move. Legend then picked up Jordan and hit her finisher, advancing in the #1 contenders tournament after nearly 10 minutes in the ring.
Tony D’Angelo remains skeptical of Luca Crusifino
A video detailed all the drama surrounding The Family since Wrestlemania weekend. Backstage, Tony D’Angelo asked Luca Crusifino where he’s been. Before Crusifino could respond, he went: “Enough. I’ll see you in the ring.”
In the ring, D’Angelo said that all he wants from Crusifino is his “trust and loyalty.” He then calls him out to the ring to talk “man to man.”
After Crusifino got into the ring, D’Angelo started questioning him about potential ties to former Family member Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Crusifino kept trying to convince D’Angelo that he’s not tied to Stacks. D’Angelo asked him to look him in his eyes and tell the truth. As he’s about to give this answer, Stacks interrupts them.
Stacks appeared on the stage with three helpers by his side. They all got into the ring, and Stacks told Crusifino that “You know what to do next.”
OH NO! 😲
After his loyalty was questioned, @LucaCrusifino just hit @TonyDangeloWWE! 😱@Stacks_WWE #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/5KDbnB8JFS

A brawl broke out, with D’Angelo and Crusifino fighting Stacks’ goons. Crusifino attempted to strike Stacks, but missed and instead hit D’Angelo by accident… Or was it on purpose? Stacks rolled out of the ring as Crusifino was left as an even less convincing ally to D’Angelo.
Backstage, First Class broke the news to Trick Williams that a slight alteration would have to be made to their six-man tag match tonight: KC Navarro wasn’t medically cleared to compete tonight. As noted in our Impact report last week, Navarro landed awkwardly after a dive at the latest TNA tapings, seemingly tweaking his knee.
First Class brought in Wes Lee as the replacement for Navarro. Williams noted that he hasn’t had a perfect history with Lee, but said he’ll be able to set that all aside so the team can win tonight.
Ricky Saints isn’t done with Ethan Page
A video package showed Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors studying at Chase University. Their time in study was cut short during the latest session, as strict teaching from Andre Chase left them storming out of the classroom.
It was noted on the broadcast that Ricky Saints will be cleared to compete by next week. Backstage, he approached NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, saying he’ll be going after him once he can compete again. EVOLVE’s Vanity Project faction said that Saints have to get through them first if he wants to face Page.
Ashante Thee Adonis then approached Saints, calling him out for a fight. It sounds like Saints is interested in facing him too: “I’ll see you real soon.”
Charlie Dempsey might not want the match…
But it looks like we're getting @WWEJeVonEvans versus @TavionHeights instead, with a Tavion win allowing him leave the NQCC! 😳#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/wwbr3xuVx1
— WWE (@WWE) June 18, 2025
Je’Von Evans approached Jasper Troy backstage, giving him props for facing Oba Femi last week in a title match. Troy wasn’t receptive to the compliments, telling Evans, “Get out of my face.”
Running into Charlie Dempsey, Evans told him that Tavion Heights wants out of the No Quarter Catch Crew, trying to exit the faction just a few weeks after Myles Borne fought his way out.
Dempsey pitched an idea: Heights vs. Evans in a singles bout. If Heights wins, he can leave the NQCC. They agreed to the bout as the segment ended.
Blake Monroe was seen at a red carpet event outside the NXT taping ahead of her official contract signing later on the show.
Yoshiki Inamura pins Trick Williams in six-man tag
This week’s TNA and NXT crossover match was next, with Elijah, Josh Briggs, and Yoshiki Inamura facing off against AJ Francis, Trick Williams & Wes Lee.
Francis teased doing a dive to the outside, a callback to his botched spot on Smackdown back from his past WWE run, but decided against the move. He was jumped by the babyface team while mocking the crowd after that spot, causing Elijah to score with an elbow drop off the top before a commercial break.
It was established during the break that the heel group has a numbers advantage in this match, as not only KC Navarro was at ringside and willing to interfere when a referee wasn’t looking, but also Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe.
THAT JUST HAPPENED! 🤯@noah_yoshiki just pinned @ThisIsTNA World Champion @_trickwilliams!! 😱#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/owb4HyyLi9
— WWE (@WWE) June 18, 2025
Inamura was isolated by the heel trio for a couple of minutes, building to a hot tag for Briggs and then later Elijah against Williams. Everybody in the match got into the ring for a brawl, causing chaos for a few moments. Briggs pushed Elijah out of the way from a Whisper In The Wind by Lee, allowing him to take out his own teammate, Williams. Inamura then came flying off the top with a big frogsplash onto Williams for the pinfall victory at 11 minutes. The commentary emphasized the fact that Inamura scored a clean pinfall win over the TNA World Champion.
Heritage Cup match set for next week
Backstage, Sol Ruca and Zaria were seen talking. Tatum Paxley emerged out of a crate and looked like she wanted to join in on their conversation, but wasn’t noticed by the duo and couldn’t get a word in before they left.
A conversation between Ava and Robert Stone was interrupted by Tony D’Angelo and Luca Crusifino loudly arguing outside the NXT Manager’s office. D’Angelo told Crusifino that he should prove he’s not working with Stacks by facing him on next week’s show – Crusifino notably didn’t like this idea. Ava said she can’t book that match either way, as Stacks is booked to face Noam Dar in an NXT Heritage Cup Championship match next week.
Ava noted that he’s being given the match as Stacks most recently beat a Heritage Cup Champion (D’Angelo), and his consigliere signed off on it. D’Angelo, paranoid as ever, started to worry that this unnamed person was Crusifino.
Ringside distraction costs Zaria win
The Evolution Eliminator tournament continued in the next segment, with The Culling’s Izzi Dame meeting Zaria. Dame is still carrying around the steel chair that she used to eliminate Brooks Jensen from the group recently.
Zaria had a strong start to the match, but Dame gained control during the commercials and started closing in on a win after five minutes.
Dame was flying off the second rope with a Codebreaker, then came running with a big boot. Zaria was still in it after taking a body slam as well, kicking out at two. Dame scored another near fall with a thudding chokeslam.
Dame was sent over the ropes and onto the ring apron. Zaria tossed her back into the ring, beginning to mount a comeback with lariats and slams. She connected with a big German Suplex, and by this point it seemed like she was in full control. However, as she was setting up for her next move, she heard a scream from ringside.
Oh no @TatumPaxley…@ZariaWWE_ took her eyes off the prize, and @izzi_wwe gets the win! 😱#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/0eAL1x6bBb
— WWE (@WWE) June 18, 2025
Sol Ruca, who was ringside of the match, was hugged from behind by Tatum Paxley, who appeared from the crowd. This moment distracted Zaria, allowing Dame to score a pop-up powerbomb for the pinfall win.
Jordynne Grace takes final #1 contenders match spot
Backstage, Yoshiki Inamura is told by Josh Briggs that he likely earned a TNA title shot by pinning Trick Williams. Inamura said that he actually wants Briggs to get a potential title shot against Williams instead of him. Why? Because he envisions a future where Briggs has the TNA title and he has the NXT belt.
The final Evolution Eliminator came next, and it was Lola Vice vs. Jordynne Grace. It was noted by many viewers that Grace is no longer using her TNA theme, instead walking out to a new tune.
Vice had a hot start to the battle, dropping Grace with a series of kicks to the body, then scoring her stink face strike in the corner. Grace started to claw back into the match during a commercial break. Grace came off the middle rope for a splash but got caught in a triangle choke from Vice upon arrival, threatening to not just stop Grace’s comeback but end her night.
Grace slammed Vice to get out of the submission. She then put Lola on the ropes, but found herself caught in an arm submission once she joined her up there. Vice sent them flying off the ropes to further hurt Grace’s arm upon impact with the canvas.
Vice scored with a spinning head kick, but it only got a two-count from Grace. A second kick was caught by Grace, who landed a German Suplex, then a Beast Mode piledriver for a clean win in eight minutes. A fun and fast finishing sequence by these two.
The Fatal 4-Way is set!

Next week, it’ll be Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, Izzi Dame, and Jordynne Grace in a four-way to determine who faces Jacy Jayne at WWE Evolution for the NXT Women’s Championship.
.@TatumPaxley is going through it right now… 😬 #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/oTm4rTl0QG

Backstage, Tatum Paxley apologized for costing Zaria the match. Sol Ruca was understanding of the mistake, Zaria not so much. Izzi Dame came by to try and stir things up: “I don’t see you in any of their little TikToks,” she said to Paxley. “If they cared about you, Tatum, they’d include you.” Paxley stormed off.
Title match announced for next week’s NXT
A video package aired reminding us about Noam Dar, since his upcoming bout will be his first NXT TV appearance since April, when he first won the cup.
The broadcast gave a rundown of next week’s NXT. Here’s what we know about the show.
- Trick Williams vs. Josh Briggs (TNA Championship)
- Lash Legend vs. Jaida Parker vs. Izzi Dame vs. Jordynne Grace (NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contenders Match) (Fatal Four-Way)
- Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Noam Dar (NXT Heritage Cup)
While Yoshiki Inamura was set up for a TNA title shot after pinning Trick Williams, the match is instead being given to Josh Briggs as the Japanese star eyes an NXT title reign in the future.
Blake Monroe gets welcomed to NXT by Fatal Influence
This week’s NXT wrapped up with the official contract signing of former AEW Women’s World Champion, Blake Monroe (formerly Mariah May).
Monroe mentioned that NXT has the best women’s division in the world, and that she’s been “dreaming of hopping into bed with the kind of talent in that women’s locker room.” She then signed her contract.
Anyone who thought this signing would go without any interference was wrong: Fatal Influence interrupted. Jacy Jayne asked Ava why she’s kissing up to Monroe so much.
Fatal Influence warned Monroe that she’s not going to take what they’ve earned in NXT. Jacy called Monroe another new “flavor of the month.”
MESSAGE. SENT.
This division runs through @jacyjaynewwe and Fatal Influence, and @BlakeMonroeWWE just learned the hard way! 😱#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/Y341PZawrf
— WWE (@WWE) June 18, 2025
“Jacy, have you ever tried this one?” Monroe asked, before slapping her. A brawl broke out between Fatal Influence and Monroe. With a three-on-one disadvantage, Monroe lost control of the situation quickly. She took a nasty forearm from Jayne, then was slammed through a table by the group to end the show.
