All In: Texas Death

‘Hangman’ Adam Page comes out to start the show and says he’s not going to waste anybody’s time, as he’s said plenty of times how much this company and its championship mean to him. Like last week, you can wrap a chain around his neck and hang him from the sky, but you would have to kill him to let this chance pass him by. He tells Jon Moxley to give him what he wants in a Texas Death Match, which prompts Moxley to make his way to the ring. Moxley asks if Page wants to put all his chips on the table, which Moxley says no, prompting a ‘bald’ chant. Moxley says Page isn’t going to win at All In, because he doesn’t want to win as he’s safe and comfortable where he is. Moxley makes a ‘top of the mountain’ reference, saying that’s for ‘someone else’, as the crowd now tells him to ‘shut the fuck up’. Moxley says ‘the best in the world’ is basic bitch shit and he will show the entire world exactly what a world champion looks like as Page doesn’t have what it takes to take the AEW World Championship from him. Page slaps Moxley as they start attacking each other, with Page taking a fork out. Wheeler Yuta runs out and gets taken out by the fork, before Marina Shafir enters and slaps Page a bunch of times. Yuta holds Page’s foot as Claudio Castagnoli attacks Page from behind. Yuta & Claudio continue as Moxley & Marina escape through the crowd. As they all leave, Page gets on the mic and asks if that’s the best they got, sending neutered Claudio after him as he’s still standing. Claudio starts to make his way back down, but Samoa Joe gets in his way. Yuta joins in, but Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata stop them. In the ring, Marina tries to attack Page with the briefcase, but he takes it and tells Moxley that he got something of his and tells him to give him Texas Death, as Moxley finally agrees. Page says in case Moxley needed a reminder that he would do what it takes as he takes out Marina with a Buckshot Lariat.

We get a video promoting Superman from Toni Storm and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) as Storm comes up with a wrestling nickname for Brosnahan.

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa

Toni Storm comes out and takes a seat next to the commentary table, with her own table with food. Right away, Mina Shirakawa goes after Mercedes Mone, who comes back with stomps, with Mina’s face on the bottom of her shoes. Storm, who has Luther by her side, looks concerned and doesn’t take a bite of any of her food as Mina stops Mercedes with a press slam. Mina starts mocking Mercedes’ dance, but she comes right back with a Meteora and starts raining down punches on Mina and starts mocking Toni as we go to our first break.

We come back, as they both spill to the outside right in front of Storm before Mina hits a Tornado DDT off the steel steps to the floor, but Mercedes fights her off the apron and hits a Meteora. They enter the ring and start trading forearms before Mercedes stops her with a boot in the corner and hits another Meteora. Mercedes hits a Sunset Bomb into the corner and another Meteora for a two. Mina hits a Sling Blade from the corner for a two count, before going for the Glamorous Driver, but Mercedes escapes and tries the Mone Maker. Mina escapes and hits a big kick to the side of the head, followed by a spinning black fist and the Glamorous Driver, but Mercedes somehow kicks out at two. Mercedes hits a Lung Blower, but Mina comes right back with a running knee strike that Mercedes kicks out at two. Mercedes hits another Lung Blower for a two. Mina avoids a Mone Maker, but Mercedes ends up rolling up Mina to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Mercedes Mone by pinfall at 14:20, to retain

Mercedes attacks Mina after the match, as Toni Storm runs in to check on her, just for Mercedes to take her out with a belt to the back of the head. Mercedes goes to Toni’s dinner table and tosses the champagne glass in Luther’s face.

Founding Fathers Are Home

We see The Young Bucks from earlier today, as Matthew Jackson said he went on a shopping spree with the company card, as he reveals a limousine with their Founding Fathers faces on it and filled with sneakers, that they say Tony Khan paid for everything. They get in the limo and say they are going on a ride, showing up their memories, as they go to their hometown of Rancho Cucamonga.

After the break, we see them seeing some of their hometown neighbors before jumping back into their limo

Men’s Casino Gauntlet #2 Spot: MJF (w/ MVP, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) vs. AR Fox vs. Anthony Bowens vs. Brody King

No Billy Gunn in Anthony Bowens’ corner for this match, as Bowens told him to stay home. As soon as the match starts, MJF tries to pay off Brody King, but he tosses the money down as MJF then starts acting like he’s going to leave the match. AR Fox tries to go after him, but The Hurt Syndicate gets in his way, as Brody takes advantage and takes out Bowens & Fox with a double clothesline. Brody keeps destroying them on the outside with crossbodies as MJF replaces Ian Riccaboni on commentary and says he wants none of this match. Fox takes out both Bowens & Brody, before Brody takes them both out with a tope suicida. MJF re-enters the match and takes out Brody with a steel chair, and goes to pin Bowens, but the show cuts right to commercial. (Sii-note: Throughout the whole show, confetti has been falling from the rafters into and outside the ring, so not sure what celebration they have planned for tonight.

When we come back, Brody is dominating against all three of his opponents before Bowens stops MJF & Brody, and traps Fox in the corner, hitting a nasty DDT for a two. MVP has now gone and joined the commentary. Fox sweeps up MJF and rolls in to hit a corkscrew brainbuster for two. MJF comes back with a bite before grabbing a chair, but Brody punches it into MJF’s face as all three opponents are now in the corner for Brody to hit a cannonball and gets a two on MJF. Everybody starts hitting variations of cutters, before Fox hits a 450 Splash on Brody, but he kicks out at two. MJF takes out Bowens with a Hammerlock DDT, yells ‘Brody sucks’, just for Brody to reverse and choke him out. Brody takes out Bowens with a Gonzo Bomb, but Fox breaks up the count. MJF takes advantage and puts on the Salt of the Earth on Fox, as he taps out right away.

Winner: MJF by submission at 13:02

Mark Briscoe comes out with a shirt that says ‘MJF has a tiny pickle’ before he congratulates MJF in being in the match, but since Briscoe is #1, MJF will get an uninterrupted ass whooping in Texas. Briscoe talks about how MJF called him a ‘Blue Collar bitch’ and it was the bitch part that upset him. Briscoe says he’s two steps ahead of him, and proposes MJF leave The Hurt Syndicate in the back next week as they both come out with microphones to have a ‘talkie-talk’.

JetSlow

JetSpeed makes their way out and starts attacking Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin. It doesn’t last long, as Lashley & Benjamin just come back and destroy them as MJF & MVP watch on. As The Hurt Syndicate starts to leave, Kevin Knight tells them they haven’t finished the job. Lashley & Benjamin re-enter and continue to destroy JetSpeed. Taz says ‘JetSpeed just became JetSlow’. As they leave again, Knight now says, ‘They won’t back down’ as Lashley & Benjamin continue the attack. MVP tells them, ‘That’s enough,’ and to get out of there. Knight gets on the mic and says that JetSpeed is still alive and The Hurt Syndicate might know how to hurt people, but if they want to keep those titles, they’ll have to learn how to kill them. Knight says Benjamin’s momma must have taught him how to fight because he hits like a bitch and challenges him to a match for Collision.

We see The Young Bucks rolling into the venue in their custom limo, and come out in their gear as we go right to their match.

The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) & Bandido

This is the first ‘Heroes vs. Villains’ match presented by Superman, as Bandido & Konosuke Takeshita start. Excalibur says that the Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page match has been match a Texas Death Match, officially. Quickly, everybody else enters as Paragon starts double-teaming Nicholas Jackson. Bandido follows with a dive to The Young Bucks on the outside, as Takeshita takes out Bandido.

We return to see Roderick Strong hitting backbreakers before he gets stopped by Matthew Jackson. Kyle O’Reilly stops Matthew with kicks and the Front Chancery, but Matthew turns it into a suplex, with Strong as well. All six go back at it, including Bandido hitting the fall-away slam moonsault on Takeshita, but Nicholas breaks up the count. Bandido tries the 21 Plex on Nicholas, but he lands on his feet, tossing him onto Takeshita, assisting him as he hits a Tombstone. O’Reilly puts the guillotine on Takeshita, but he escapes as O’Reilly runs into superkicks and a forearm from Takeshita before they hit him with a triple V-Trigger followed by Raging Fire from Takeshita to pick up the pin and the win.

Winners: Konosuke Takeshita & The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) by pinfall at 11:53

As soon as the match is over, Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay run in and take out the Bucks and say they are still waiting for their answer to their challenge for All In and clarify that they don’t want the EVP titles, but they will give the power to the fans and back to Tony Khan. Matthew says they aren’t the boss, and their answer is ‘Hell no’, as they don’t get anything out of this. Ospreay says he might have something they are interested in and whispers something to Swerve. Ospreay says if the Bucks accept the match and beat them at All In, then he and Swerve can’t challenge for the World Title for one year. Swerve gets upset and gets in Ospreay’s face, but the Bucks like that stipulation and say they got a deal, but Ospreay has to get Swerve on the same page. Swerve takes his time, then reluctantly says they got a deal.

We get a very quick promo for Superman between Kenny Omega & David Corenswet (Superman) and MJF & Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor)

Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (The Beast Mortos & Dralistico)

Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland are still in the ring, as The Beast Mortos & Dralistico rush in (no Rush though) to get the match started right away. Mortos & Dralistico take control on the outside as we go to break.

We come back to see Ospreay hit a Sasuke Special on Dralistico, followed by a springboard elbow on Mortos for two. All four go at it, including a vicious-looking Crucifix Bomb from Ospreay to Mortos, followed by a Stormbreaker/Swerve Stomp combo, a Styles Clash, and a House Call to Dralistico to pick up the pin and the win.

Winners: Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland by pinfall at 8:44

Kota Ibushi vs. Kazuchika Okada

Non-title match here, as Don Callis goes and joins commentary with Lance Archer by his side. Right away, Kazuchika Okada bails to the outside, but upon entering, gets taken out by a kick from Kota Ibushi, sending him right back to the outside. They fight on the outside, as Okada sends Ibushi into the steel steps with a drop toe hold, as we go to commercial.

We come back, as Ibushi fights out of a grip from Okada, but he comes right back with a neckbreaker, body slam, and goes to the top rope to hit an elbow drop. Okada starts slapping Ibushi, but he just smiles them off and starts striking away at Okada. Ibushi avoids the Rainmaker and hits a big lariat that gets the crowd on their feet. Ibushi goes to the top rope, but Okada stops him with a twisting German Suplex. Ibushi ducks another Rainmaker and hits a roundhouse kick as the crowd chants ‘Ibushi’. They go to the top rope where Ibushi hits an avalanche Tiger Driver, and Okada remarkably kicks out at two. Okada hits a lariat and a high dropkick on Ibushi, followed by the Rainmaker to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada by pinfall at 14:47

The Don Callis Family enters and keeps attacking Ibushi until Kenny Omega makes his big return (Sii-note: Superman promotion aside) and helps take them all out. Trent Beretta tries to attack Omega from behind with a weapon, but Ibushi stops him and takes him out as The Golden Lovers reunite.
