Legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross got a standing ovation as he appeared at AEW All In: Texas.

He emerged to adulation from the crowd at the outset of the Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada match.

Ross had previously targeted the pay-per-view for his return following a recent medical procedure.

The announcer has been absent from AEW programming for two months following successful surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his colon.

On a May 2025 episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross confirmed the procedure had taken place and that he was beginning a period of recovery. At that time, he stated that his firm target was to be well enough to travel to Arlington for All In.

Ross was last seen on AEW television on the May 10, 2025, episode of Collision.
