Toni Storm has handed Mercedes Moné her first singles loss in AEW, retaining the Women’s World Title.

Moné was the clear heel for the Arlington crowd, who booed loudly after she delivered a Meteora to Luther, who had caught Storm after she was sent from the ring.

After Luther had been dealt with, Moné took over with plenty of offense on Storm for a lengthy period of dominance.

The crowd were fully engaged as Storm mounted a comeback, before the match entered more of a 50:50 phase.

Moné then began to channel Eddie Guerrero with an attempt at a frog splash, but Storm got the knees up. This was followed by a big hip attack and the Storm Zero for a big near-fall.

Another big two-count came after Mercedes successfully hit the Moné Maker.

The crowd bit hard after Storm hit a trio of Storm Zeros, only for Moné to kick out.

The finish came when Storm got Mercedes onto the ropes, delivered a kiss and hit the decisive avalanche Storm Zero to get the pin.
