Becky Lynch pinned Bayley at WWE Evolution to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

The third competitor in the match was Lyra Valkyria.

Before this opening match, Stephanie McMahon got her own entrance and joined Joe Tessitore to chat about the show and what she was looking forward to.

After a three-way face-off, Bayley threw Lyra Valkyria from the ring, leaving Lynch and Bayley to fight it out.

Valkyria was soon back in, taking it to both of the other competitors.

Bayley and Lynch co-operated very briefly to throw Valkyria into the announce desk, before attacking each other.

In much of the match, one competitor would get the better of another, only for the third to break things up.

A Bexploder suplex into the ringside barrier left Bayley selling a damaged knee. She would shake it off, though, for a period of dominance before each of the women traded ever-bigger near-falls.

In the finish, Bayley hit the Roseplant on Valkyria. As she attempted to pin Lyra, Lynch rolled her over sideways into a backslide to grab the pinfall.
