Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle is joining the Real American Freestyle broadcast team.
The project, which is being promoted by Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff, announced on Thursday that Angle will join Chael Sonnen and Bubba Jenkins as part of its broadcast team for the debut event next month.

Angle had a legendary amateur wrestling career, winning two NCAA Division I Championships at Clarion University. In 1995, he won the World Championships and the gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the Olympics in 1996.
He worked in professional wrestling from 1999 until 2019 and became a major star for WWE & TNA, and was inducted into both companies’ Hall of Fame.
Real American Freestyle will launch with an event at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland on August 30 and has announced agreements with Bo Nickal, Darrion Caldwell, Kyle Dake, Wyatt Hendrickson, and Lance Palmer.
The promotion has yet to announce a broadcast deal for the show.
