The Elegance Brand cheat numerous times en route to retaining tag titles

Titles were on the line early this evening, as the first bout of the night saw The Elegance Brand’s Ash and Heather By Elegance face The IInspiration’s Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay. The Elegance brand entered this weekend on a nearly 130-day reign, defending their belts twice along the way.

The IInspiration had a strong start to the fight, but a distraction at ringside by The Personal Concierge allowed the champs to take control of the fight. Dirty tactics by the heel duo kept them in control of this matchup throughout the bout.

McKay found herself isolated in the heel corner for a couple of minutes, building to a hot tag to Lee. Taking on both Elegance Brand wrestlers at once, Lee put together a quick series of moves, ending with a Northern Lights Suplex onto Heather for a near fall.

The match went to the top rope, where Lee avoided a sit-down super Spanish Fly from Heather. She then came out of the corner onto Ash a hurricanrana, then took her to the top rope for a superplex. Lee tried for a pin attempt afterward, but M By Elegance at ringside put a leg of Heather’s onto the bottom rope, causing a rope break.

McKay did a dive off the ring apron onto the entire Elegance squad, then Lee came flying off the top rope and to the outside onto everyone.

The IInspiration dragged Ash back into the ring in hopes of ending the match with their Idolizer finisher. An attempt of the move was stopped by Heather, who hit Lee with a spear to break up the double-team move. As the referee was looking away, M By Elegance hit McKay with a prop torch (she was dressed as the Statue of Liberty) while standing on the ring apron. Building off this interference, Heather came off the top with a Rarified Air Swanton Bomb for the pinfall win in six and a half minutes. The Knockouts tag titles aren’t going anywhere.

The Home Town Man overcomes rival Eric Young

In an unannounced segment, Eric Young, alongside the Northern Armory, came to the ring. Young cut a classic heel promo, talking about how New York is a “garbage” city, and that their sports teams are bad. Young once again reiterated his belief that Cody Deaner, who was “fired” by TNA earlier this year, is still performing in the promotion under the pseudonym The Home Town Man.

Young, dressed in wrestling gear, issued an open challenge to anyone from New York who wants to face him. Who ansered the challenge? New York’s own Home Town Man.

Judas Icarus and Travis Williams attempted to jump the Home Town Man as he was on his way to the ring, but were both taken out by him. The bell went after “HTM” hit the ring – the impromptu match was made official.

Home Town Man, dressed in a New York Islanders jersey, had a hot start to the match, hitting Young with a back body drop and a series of punches. Young reversed a move in the corner to get back in control. Home Town Man started to rally back into the match with a series of clotheslines, then 10 punches to the head, earning him a near fall.

Young avoided a superplex by gouging the eyes of Home Town Man, causing him to fall to the canvas. Young them came out of the corner with an elbow drop, giving him just a two-count.

Young, irate by the near fall, threatened to hurt the referee and others at ringside. This anger gave Home Town Man a chance to catch a breather. Once Young got back into the ring, Home Town Man reversed a piledriver into a roll-up pin attempt, earning him a victory in a little over four minutes.

The Home Town Man jumped into the crowd to celebrate with fellow New Yorkers as the segment came to an end. Young has once again failed to identify Deaner’s identity.

Fourth Rope wrestlers take down TNA talents to end pre-show

The final pre-show match saw rivals Steve Maclin, Jake Something, and Mance Warner set their issues aside and try to take down Fourth Rope wrestlers Real1, Zilla Fatu, and Josh Bishop. This match was made after Real1 (formerly Enzo Amore) teased in recent weeks that Westside Gunn’s Fourth Rope promotion would appear at the event, as it is taking place in their home state of New York.

Real1 cut a lengthy promo on the ramp before the match, putting over Fatu and Bishop and roasting all of his opponents. Commentary noted before the match started that TNA has officially partnered with 4th Rope.

Fatu started the match against Warner. He caught him with a Samoan Drop just 30 seconds into the bout, but Warner was able to avoid a frogsplash moments later. Maclin got tagged in and had a sequence of moves against all three Fourth Rope wrestlers. After wiping out Fatu and Bishop, he then draped Real1 in the corner for a spear.

Bishop got into the match against Something, hitting him with a massive chokeslam. Warner used Something as a platform to jump off for a springboard DDT onto Bishop.

Fourth Rope wrestlers went to the outside, where they were met with a tope suicida from Maclin. Fatu came off the steel steps with a Samoan Spike to Maclin. Something then dove to the outside to wipe out everyone. This match was working at a very fast pace.

Back in the ring, Warner tried for a move onto Real1, but the former WWE talent dodged the attack. Instead, Warner struck Something with a clothesline. Real1 then hit Something with an Eat Defeat to win in three minutes. Fourth Rope wrapped up the pre-show with a statement win.

Mustafa Ali avenges loss to Cedric Alexander in physical 15-minute bout

After a performance of the U.S. national anthem and an intro video package, the main card kicked off with a grudge match between Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander.

This match was billed as “seven years in the making,” as Alexander and Ali previously faced off at Wrestlemania 34, a Cruiserweight Championship title bout which Alexander won in 12 minutes. This bout was also notably Alexander’s first singles appearance since joining the TNA roster earlier this year.

The rest of Order Four (Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Tasha Steelz) were at ringside in support of Ali.

Ali and Alexander had a fast sequence of reversals early in the match, trading roll-up pin attempts at one point. Alexander scored the first big moves of the bout, landing a pair of German Suplexes to Ali at ringside.

Ali’s Secret Security at ringside started arguing with Alexander, giving Ali the chance to get back into the ring and come flying through the ropes with a tope suicida. Ali somewhat overshot Alexander with this move and took a rough fall to the floor.

Back in the ring, Alexander dodged a 450 splash from Ali. Order Four’s Ali came charging at him after, but Alexander got out of the way, causing him to go flying head-first into the middle turnbuckle.

Alexander and Ali had a battle on the top rope, resulting in Alexander giving him a Michinoku Driver to the outside, landing on the numerous Order Four security guards who were at ringside – this high spot looked great.

The match returned to the ring, where Ali reversed a move from Alexander into a spin kick to the head. Ali tried for a standing moonsault, but Alexander got out of the way. “Prime” then tossed Ali into the turnbuckles with a hard suplex.

Ali avoided a Lumbar Check attempt from Alexander for a Sharpshooter submission. A frustrated Ali told Alexander “I hate you!” after he achieved a rope break. Ali used a ring apron to choke Alexander briefly.

Ali tried for a powerbomb onto the steel stairs at ringside, but Alexander avoided the move. Ali hit a superkick to Alexander, then once again tried for a spot onto the stairs. Alexander avoided what looked like a Destroyer attempt from Ali, instead hitting a back bodydrop which caused Ali to land flat on the steel stairs. Hard landing for Ali.

Steelz got onto the ring apron to argue with the referee, a distraction with allowed Hotch to hit a draping DDT to the floor onto Alexander. Ali hit a 450 Splash off the top, but Alexander surprisingly kicked out of the move.

Mad at the referee’s count, Steelz got into the ring, causing her to get ejected from ringside. Alexander reversed a rolling neckbreaker into a cutter, then scored a pair of snap German Suplexes. Ali went charging toward Alexander, causing him to once again get tossed back-first into the corner turnbuckles.

Alexander took out Hotch and Skyler at ringside while Ali was down. Ali avoided a move from Alexander and tried for a dropkick in the corner, but the kick took out Skyler, who was on the ring apron, instead of the intended target.

Alexander connected with a Lumbar Check, but Ali kicked out of the pin attempt. Ali tripped Alexander, causing him to fall head-first into the middle turnbuckle. Alexander climbed to the top with Ali, but got down after Steelz, who had been ejected, came back into the ring with a steel chair.

Alexander hit Steelz with a Lumbar Check. Immediately after this move, Ali came down with a 450 Splash onto Alexander, allowing the Order Four leader to win via pinfall in 14 minutes.

Matt Cardona teams with The System to take down NXT’s DarkState

Eight-man tag action was next, as NXT’s DarkState faction faced The System, alongside Matt Cardona. While Cardona and The System haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, they agreed to team up Sunday in hopes of taking down the NXT group, which has attacked TNA talents frequently on recent episodes of Impact.

Both teams brawled before the match started. Myers came off the top and to the outside with an elbow drop to all four wrestlers, then JDC did a Sabu tribute spot, jumping off a chair and over the ropes, landing on everyone else.

Once the match officially got underway, it was Myers who found himself isolated in the corner of The System for numerous minutes. Myers finally found the opening for a hot tag after hitting a spear onto Cutler James.

Myers tagged in Cardona, who faced off against Saquon Shugars. After hitting him with a nasty double knees to the head, Cardona connected with a ReBoot in the corner, giving him a two-count.

Shugars escaped a Radio Silence, giving the Darkstate talent to tag out of the match. Along with Lennox and James, Shugars hit a triple-team powerbomb to Cardona. A pin attempt was just narrowly broken up by Eddie Edwards, who had to take out the referee to stop the count.

The System and Cardona got control of the match – they powerbombed Shugars, then Myers scored an elbow drop, then JDC hit a legdrop off the top. A pin attempt was broken by the rest of DarkState, who charged back in to the ring.

A quick sequence included Edwards hitting Shugars with a brutal Blue Thunder Bomb onto the back of Osiris. Cardona connected on Shugars with a Radio Silence, then Edwards scored a Boston Knee Party for the win in just under seven minutes. Team TNA picked up a win against DarkState, possibly getting them out of the way after interfering at recent TV tapings.

It was noted that Trey Miguel has been replaced by Myron Reed to team alongside Zachary Wentz in tonight’s four-way tag team ladder match. The broadcast also mentioned that Elijah is currently still out due to a triceps injury.

Tim Malcolm, someone from TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé” reality show was interviewed at ringside.

Indi Hartwell beats rival Tessa Blanchard in 15-minute battle

A grudge match between Tessa Blanchard and Indi Hartwell was next. This bout was Hartwell’s first singles appearance on a TNA pay-per-view since joining the promotion a couple of months back.

Blanchard knocked Hartwell off the ring apron with a dropkick in the second minute of the match after a misdirection spot around ringside. She scored a series of hard kicks to the chest of Hartwell before the fight returned to the ring.

Blanchard continued to control the match for the next few minutes with her attacks. Hartwell tried climbing back into the match after avoiding a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the top, but had the smallest bit of momentum broken up by leg kicks from Blanchard.

Hartwell stopped Blanchard from climbing the turnbuckles, bringing her to the mat with a superplex. Blanchard and Hartwell started trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Hartwell took out Blanchard with a pair of clotheslines and then a head kick.

Hartwell came off the top with an elbow drop onto the spine of Blanchard for a two-count. Blanchard tripped Hartwell to the mat, then started attacking her legs once again with submission attempts. Hartwell got knocked out of the ring with a thrust kick, giving Blanchard the opportunity to come flying over the top rope and to the outside with a dive.

Blanchard got Hartwell back into the ring for a pin attempt, but got just a two-count. After a series of reversals, Hartwell scored a Spinebuster for a near fall of her own as the match went past the 11-minute mark.

Hartwell tried for Hurts Donut, but Blanchard escaped the finisher. A sequence of reversals ended with a powerbomb from Blanchard for another kickout. Blanchard came off the top with a move, but Hartwell dodged the attack. Instead, Hartwell scored her Hurts Donut finisher, but Blanchard kicked out.

Hartwell and Blanchard went into the corner, where Blanchard came off the top with a cutter. Blanchard returned to the top to connect with her Magnum Codebreaker, but Hartwell kicked out after the move, to Blanchard’s surprise.

A frustrated Blanchard started to fire away at Hartwell with kicks, punches, and slaps. She came running off the ropes to follow-up on the striking sequence, but Hartwell instead hit Hurts Donut twice, first onto the top ring rope, then onto the mat. This sequence did enough damage to give Hartwell the pinfall win at 15 minutes.

Hartwell was interviewed at ringside, where she mentioned that she has her eyes on the Knockouts title picture. Hartwell got attacked mid-interview by Blanchard, who was a sore loser bout her loss. Reporter Gia Miller attempted to break up the attack, causing her to also get attacked by Blanchard and Victoria Crawford.

Backstage, a livid Santino Marella approached Tessa Blanchard about attacking Gia Miller. Upon Marella’s request, Blanchard was physically removed from the venue by security.

The next backstage segment, which the broadcast started airing 10 seconds too early, saw The Elegance Brand celebrating their tag title win. The IInspiration, frustrated about the Elegance Brand’s dirty tactics, confronted them. An angle was teased for Thursday – it was hard to hear what specifically was said due to the mic’ing situation, but it sounds like IInspiration teased bringing in a third tag partner to take on The Elegance Brand.

Jacy Jayne obtains double-champ status following win over Masha Slamovich

A champion vs. champion bout was next, with NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne taking on TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. A double-champ was set to be crowned in this bout.

The rest of Fatal Influence, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, were in Jayne’s corner for this match.

Jayne caught Slamovich with a hard running elbow strike to the head in the first minute, but Slamovich responded by knocking her down with a hard lariat. Slamovich came flying off the middle turnbuckle and to the outside with a senton, landing on Jayne and Henley.

Nyx held onto a leg of Slamovich as she attempted to get back into the ring, the first of numerous interference spots featuring Fatal Influence. Slamovich went head-first into a ringpost after losing a tug-of-war against Jayne, who was helped by Henley.

Jayne had the lead in this match as they returned to the ring. Henley once again interfered on Slamovich before Jayne scored a cannonball in the corner. Jayne got a two-count with an uranage.

During the match, TNA wrestlers were shown backstage watching, concerned that another belt from the brand could get lost to an NXT wrestler. Slamovich escaped a submission from Jayne by slamming her on her back. The two traded blows in the center of the canvas, a sequence which ended with a series of clotheslines from Slamovich.

Slamovich scored a boot in the corner to Jayne, then a running wheel kick, earning her a near fall. She nailed Jayne with a knee to the head, then hit an Air Raid Crash in the corner.

The fight went to the top rope, where a series of reversals ended with Jayne scoring a hurricanrana. Jayne got a close two-count after a running knee strike immediately after the high-risk move.

Henley tossed Jayne’s NXT belt into the ring as the referee wasn’t looking, attempting to use it as a weapon. The referee turned around and took the belt off Jayne, but as she was putting the belt away, Jayne blasted Slamovich in the back of the head with the TNA Knockouts title. Jayne went for a pin after the illegal tactic, but Slamovich kicked out at two.

Slamovich avoided a cannonball in the corner, then knocked down Jayne with a knee strike. Fatal Influence got on the ring apron, but were taken out by TNA’s Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee, who came running down the ramp and started brawling with them into the crowd.

Jayne tried for a superkick to Slamovich, but the strike instead hit the referee. Slamovich scored a Snow Plow, but the referee wasn’t up to count it. A second referee hit the ring, but by the time he started his count, Jayne was able to kick out.

Jayne reversed a piledriver into a roll-up pin attempt. A kickout from another roll-up attempt moments later sent Slamovich head-first into the turnbuckles. Jayne then hit the Rolling Encore forearm strike to win at 12 minutes. Jayne is now a champ in both NXT and TNA.

TNA’s Carlos Silva appeared on the ring apron as Jayne celebrated with both belts.

Backstage, Eric Young was seen grilling The Northern Armory for not helping him beat The Home Town Man on the pre-show.

An attendance of 7,623 was announced for the Slammiversary. They said this makes it the highest attendance for a North American TNA event.

Leon Slater becomes youngest champ in X-Division history, gets congratulated by AJ Styles

The next bout saw Leon Slater attempt to become the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA history, looking to take down The System’s Moose.

Slater had a fast start, attempting to chop down the towering Moose with strikes. His slight bit of momentum was broken up just seconds into the match, as Moose scored a Spinebuster off the middle rope.

The match went to the outside, where Moose avoided a dive and hit Slater with a huge chop to the chest. Moose went tumbling shoulder-first into the ringside steps after Slater avoided a move from him.

Back in the ring, Slater tried to lift up Moose for a move but wasn’t able to. Moose sent Slater flying into the corner with a hard Irish Whip – Slater did an incredible job selling this.

Moose continued to pick on Slater with chops and a huge Uranage. The match went to the ring apron, where Slater reversed a slam from Moose into a hurricanrana, sending the champ flying to the floor at ringside. Slater looked to follow up on this move with a dive over the top and to the outside, but Moose caught Slater. Moose tried to slam Slater onto the ramp at ringside, but Slater reversed the move into another hurricanrana.

Slater was thrown into the ring by Moose, but he came flying back out seconds later, diving over a ringpost to land onto the X-Division champ.

Moose avoided a top rope move from Slater, instead scoring a huge pop-up powerbomb for a two-count. Moose scored with a series of chops. Slater caught the last chop, then tried for his own sequence of strikes. Slater came running off the ropes with a move, but instead ate a massive lariat from Moose.

Moose scored a Buckle Bomb to Slater, but Slater was able to respond moments later by taking down Moose with a lariat of his own. Moose came charging forward for a move, but Slater knocked him down with a leg lariat.

Slater climbed to the top, but was taken off-balance by Moose, who went after his legs. Slater countered a spear attempt from Moose into a roll-up pin. Moose tossed Slater neck-first onto the top rope, then came charging off the ropes with a spear – but it wasn’t enough to finish Slater.

Moose came charging at Slater, but Slater moved out of the way, sending the champ into the turnbuckles. After failing to lift him up earlier in the match, Slater picked Moose up for a Blue Thunder Bomb. He hit a spear, then came off the top with a huge Swanton 450, but Moose kicked out! The crowd really bit on this near-fall. Commentary said that nobody had previously kicked out of Slater’s Swanton prior to this moment.

Slater hit Moose with a thrust kick, then another leg lariat. He attempted to come flying off the second rope with a move, but Moose did a mid-air reversal into a spear, sending Slater out of the ring.

Moose came charging toward Slater at ringside, but Slater reversed the move into a Code Red. Slater went to the top for another Swanton 450. Moose rolled to the other side of the ring and flipped off Slater. Despite Moose being farther away than usual, Slater went for a dive anyway, coming off the top with a Swanton Bomb. He then went back to the top for a Swanton 450 to win the match in just under 16 minutes.

Slater is your new TNA X-Division Champion, and at 20 years old is the youngest to ever hold the belt.

Moose ripped the belt out of the hands of TNA’s Carlos Silva after the match. But then, surprisingly, he put the belt around Slater’s waist, being humble in defeat.

A surprising name appeared during Slater’s celebration: WWE talent and TNA legend AJ Styles. While Styles had been announced for tonight’s show, it was unclear when he would exactly show up.

Styles received a massive reaction from the live crowd, who were singing his old TNA theme as it played throughout the arena.

Styles got on the microphone. “The talent’s better than it’s ever been,” Styles said about TNA while looking at Slater. Styles told the new X-Division champ that he earned his win – “You didn’t just impress me, Leon, you made me realize why I love this business,” he said. “Guys like you who make people like me love what they do. Thank you for that.”

Styles raised Slater’s hand to end the segment.

The Hardys claim TNA tag titles in high-risk ladder match, get challenged to Bound For Glory bout against Team 3D

The co-main event of the night saw The Nemeths, The Hardys, The Rascalz, and First Class face off in a four-way ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. As noted earlier in the night, Rascalz member Myron Reed stepped in to replace an injured Trey Miguel, fighting alongside Zachary Wentz.

The Hardys used a ladder to wipe out all other wrestlers to start the match. The Hardys set up a ladder and started climbing, but were dumped onto the top rope by First Class, who tipped over their ladder.

Reed came flying off the top rope, but had a ladder thrown at him by AJ Francis. Reed was thrown into a ladder in the corner, then both Francis and KC Navarro did a splash in the corner onto him.

Francis picked up both Reed and the ladder that was behind him, using them both as a weapon on other opponents in the match before slamming Reed to the mat.

Navarro got on the shoulders of Francis, but was knocked to the mat by Wentz, who came off the top rope with a knee strike. Reed got some revenge on Francis, hitting him with a codebreaker and then throwing a huge ladder onto his chest.

Reed came flying over the ropes, catching Ryan Nemeth, who was on the ring apron, with a cutter, sending them both to the mat at ringside. This was quite the moment. Just seconds later, Wentz did a splash onto Navarro, who was on a ladder held by the ring apron and a barricade at ringside.

Matt Hardy hit Francis with a Twist of Fate in the ring, then Jeff came off the top rope with a Swanton Bomb. They once again positioned a ladder in the middle of the ring and started to climb, but were taken down by the Nemeths.

Ryan and Nic got the Hardys out of the ring by hitting their finishers. After Ryan briefly got in the face of Johnny Damon at ringside, they started climbing the ladder in the ring. The Rascalz got back into the ring to stop them. With both teams on one ladder, Navarro got into the ring to tipped the ladder over.

Navarro posed in the ring after taking out both The Rascalz and The Nemeths with a steel chair. Francis climbed a ladder in the ring and did a huge moonsault onto The Nemeths and Rascalz, causing “Holy s***” chants from the crowd.

First Class started climbing the ladder in hopes of grabbing the belts. The Rascalz tipped their ladder over, sending the duo through a pair of ladders at ringside. Francis took a particularly gnarly landing, as his legs went through the ladder as he went down.

Back in the ring, The Hardys took out Reed with a Twist of Fate and a cutter double team sequence. Matt hurt Wentz with a Side Effect. They put the Rascalz onto a pair of ladders at ringside, allowing Jeff to give them both a Swanton Bomb off the top rope. The ladders didn’t break from the first Swanton, so Jeff did another – ladders still didn’t break.

Since all the ladders at ringside were broken, how were the Hardys going to retrieve the belts? Jeff summoned a ladder on ropes – the type you might see coming from a helicopter – from the ceiling of the venue. Jeff started to climb, but was attacked by the Nemeths, who got into the ring and started battling with both Hardys.

The Hardys wedged the Nemeth brothers’ heads through steel chairs for stereo Twist of Fates. Jeff then climbed the special ladder to retrieve the belts and win in just under 17 minutes.

After a match full of high-flying, gutsy spots, The Hardys kick-started their fourth run as TNA World Tag Team Champions.

A celebration by The Hardys was cut off by Bully Ray, who came to the ring. He got on the mic and gave props to the Hardys for winning the match, and also credited them for helping make a TNA attendance record this evening.

Ray said he was in the ring for a different reason: “October. Bound For Glory. Hardys, Team 3D, one last match.” He then said that when they face off later this year, people will hear “D-Von, get the tables” one last time. He shook hands with The Hardys before leaving the ring.

Bound For Glory was announced for October 12 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Santino Marella, who appeared on the stage to gather predictions before the main event, announced that Tessa Blanchard has been suspended after attacking Gia Miller.

Trick Williams sneaks by Mike Santana, Joe Hendry in TNA World Title three-way

The main event of the night saw NXT wrestler Trick Williams attempt to defend his TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a three-way bout.

Santana and Hendry, the two babyfaces of the match, picked on Williams as things got started. The champ was dumped to the outside, causing Santana and Hendry to start battling in one-on-one action.

These two had a fast-paced exchange full of reversals. They stared each other down after Hendry narrowly avoided Santana’s Spin The Block. Williams got back into the ring at this point to attack Santana and Hendry.

Santana was tossed out of the ring, then Williams connected a Uranage for a two count onto Hendry. The champ got another near fall with a Death Valley Driver. Williams tried to put away Hendry with a guillotine choke, which Hendry eventually powered out of with a suplex.

Santana got back into the ring and hit Hendry with a German Suplex, causing the former champ to roll out of the ring. Santana, the favorite for the New York crowd, had a strong series of moves against Williams, knocking him down with a head kick. But his momentum was slowed after running into a leg lariat from Williams.

They went to the corner, where Santana knocked Williams down with a headbutt. Williams stopped Santana from coming off the top by hitting him with an uppercut. Williams tried for a superplex, but Hendry got back into the ring and lifted the champ up. Santana came off the top with a blockbuster to Williams, who was on the shoulders of Hendry, taking them both out.

All three wrestlers traded strikes, first on their knees before working up to their feet. After taking down Hendry, Santana tried for a Spin The Block on Williams. Instead, Santana ate a Trick Kick.

Williams and Hendry had a sequence in the ring which ended with a Standing Ovation from Hendry. The former champ went for a pin, but Frankie Kazarian, who was on commentary in support of Williams, pulled the referee out of the ring. Kazarian was ejected from ringside after his interference.

Santana dove over the top rope and to the outside to take out Williams, then Hendry came flying onto both of them. Santana threw Hendry into the ring. He attempted to also put Williams in the ring, but he wasn’t able to get up. Moments later, Williams was shown being helped to his feet by TNA personnel.

Back in the ring, Santana scored a series of moves, including a Rolling Buck 50 and a cannonball in the corner, but Hendry kicked out at two. Hendry reversed a Spin The Block into a pop-up powerbomb. He connected with a Standing Ovation, but Santana kicked out in a near fall.

Santana ended a striking sequence with a Spin The Block, then hit the finisher once again. He went for the pin when Williams, who we all assumed was hurt, suddenly got back into the ring. Williams, who was playing possum, threw Santana out of the way, then pinned Hendry to win the match in 13 minutes, retaining the TNA World Championship.
