Brooke Hogan reflects on father’s passing, reportedly asked out of his will in 2023

Multiple stories involving Brooke Hogan, the daughter of the late Hulk Hogan, were reported on Wednesday.

Brooke, who is married to Steven Oleksy and has two children together, posted her first statement since the passing of her father and stated that, “The media has been convoluting the narrative and I feel it necessary to clear a few things up. We never had a “big fight”. My father and I never “fought”. It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand. My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support”, as she wrote on Instagram.

She went on to mention that her family moved to Florida to be closer to him, “Then something suddenly shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit. I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me”. She went on to explain that “During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart. My husband stayed open, quietly reaching out to my Dad without me knowing, trying to find a safe way back in for me.”

In March this year, Brooke had posted a message regarding the status of her relationship with her family after a concerning video was posted by her mother, Linda, where she was in tears and lamenting the state of the family.

Brooke posted in March that, “I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.”

She would also address her absence at any of the WWE’s tributes to Hogan over the past week, notably Raw, where her brother Nick appeared during a ten-bell salute. Brooke stated she was not invited by the company.

TMZ is reporting that in 2023, Brooke requested to be removed from her father’s will due to a lack of trust among those surrounding Hogan. The report adds that she did not want to be caught in the middle of a financial fight after his death.

TMZ states she will receive some money from a small life insurance trust where she is a listed beneficiary, but it remains unknown who will be inheriting Hogan’s many assets.

Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Claridge, has also posted a statement on his passing:

I had no idea he would pass away this soon . We all really thought he would make a come back ! Big surprise . We are all devastated . It’s hitting me so hard . I loved Hulkster more than he loved me . It hurt when he cheated . But he was sooo famous . I sort of u detstood but it was crushing . It hurt . I b?ever got over him or started a real relationship w anyone .. I missed HIM! I’ve been weeping all day . The finality . It’s just shocking . We spent every minute together for so many years . I’ve known him since he was 28 yrs old ! I was 22. I still love him . Even tho I never spoke or saw him , Nick did .. and Nick would tell me things and vice versa . Just news about life . I still felt .. although broken .. we still were a family . It’s so hard to know he’s just gone . I tried to stay strong for Nick .. but I’m melting down now . It’s very sad . I love you Hulkster . You were my man . The only man for me . RIP
