Sami Zayn stuck with his principles and defeated Karrion Kross fair and square at SummerSlam.
The match began with an aggressive start by Zayn, going after Kross in the corner. This was reversed before the match spilled outside the ring.
Zayn then hit a moonsault off the ringside barrier but his advantage was short-lived. Back in the ring, Kross began to dominate for a spell, outpowering Zayn.
Holding Zayn against the ropes, Kross repeatedly yelled at Sami to “say it,” seemingly wanting him to admit to his dark side.
Scarlett fetched a steel pipe from under the ring and passed it to Kross, who missed, instead eating a Blue Thunder Bomb.
A furious Zayn then attacked Kross repeatedly on the ropes, until the referee warned him.
Scarlett then passed the steel pipe to Zayn, who held it, looking conflicted, before tossing it to the outside. The crowd seemed unhappy about this.

Zayn then hit the exploder suplex and Helluva Kick for the win.
