Becky Lynch retained her Intercontinental Championship in a no-countout, no-DQ match at SummerSlam.
Bayley got involved in the match, unintentionally helping Lynch win.
The match held the stipulation that if Valkyria lost, she could not challenge Lynch again for the title.
Valkyria was first to the ring, before Becky Lynch made her entrance to a new theme.
Lyra got the best of the opening moments with an aggressive series of strikes, but Lynch soon sent her into the announce desk. Lynch then fetched a kendo stick from under the ring.
Not to be outdone, Valkyria produced a metal crowbar and knocked the kendo stick out of Lynch’s hands.
As the pair brawled at ringside, they knocked into a ringside photographer who, unfortunately, had no idea how to sell and just wandered out of the way.
Lyra went to set up a table when Lynch wrapped a chain around her opponent’s mouth and tossed her into the ring steps.
In the ring, Lynch made the most of her advantage with a series of kendo stick strikes.
As Lyra lay prone, Lynch grabbed a toolbox and a pair of chairs. Valkyria would take a series of chair shots, a drop toe hold into another chair, and a shot to the head with the toolbox.
Lynch then zip-tied Valkyria’s wrists together and set about her with a wrench.
Lyra showed her resilience, though, kicking out of a pinning attempt.
With Valkyria hung by the zip-tied wrists on the ring post, Lynch delivered a flurry of kendo shots to her abdomen.
Back in the ring, though, Lyra still managed to kick out of a pinning attempt.
She then rallied, delivering dropkicks, axe-handles and a moonsault, all with her wrists still bound.
With Lynch grounded temporarily, Lyra managed to remove a turnbuckle pad. After being sent to the outside, Lynch could not find her opponent. Valyria emerged from under the ring, blasting Lynch with a fire extinguisher and finally able to free her wrists from the zip tie.
Holding the advantage, Valkyria then hit the Nightwing to Lynch from the steps to the floor.
Back in the ring, there was a big near-fall after Valkyria was sent into the exposed turnbuckle and took a Manhandle Slam into a pair of chairs.
A furious Lynch then trapped Lyra in an unfolded chair, sending her into the Spanish announce table and delivering several kicks. She then grabbed the crowbar. As she swung it backwards, Bayley grabbed it from her.

Lynch urged Bayley to use the crowbar herself but she would not do it, instead going after Lynch, repeatedly throwing her into the barricade.
This allowed Valkyria to rally again and kick Lynch through a table.
Bayley climbed the ring apron to take a swing at Lynch, but hit Lyra. This allowed Lynch to hit a decisive Manhandle Slam to retain.
