Solo Sikoa retained his US Championship at SummerSlam with the help of his MFT stable.

Jacob Fatu got the last word, though, with a huge moonsault off the cage onto Tonga Loa and JC Mateo.

Unusually for this weekend, the champion came out first as Solo Sikoa made his way to the cage, with no sign of the MFTs.

Jacob Fatu then made his way down the ramp for his SummerSlam debut.

After the cage door was secured, the two exchanged strikes before Fatu took the early momentum.

Sikoa soon took control after managing to toss Fatu over the ropes and into the cage. After getting a near-fall, Sikoa called for the cage door to be opened. However, Fatu grabbed his opponent’s leg and the door was secured again.

Sikoa then missed with the Samoan Spike, leading to a sequence that left both men laid out temporarily. Fatu rallied, repeatedly sending Sikoa into the cage.

Fatu delivered a pair of moonsaults, but Sikoa kicked out at two.

At this point, Tonga Loa, Tala Tonga and JC Mateo made their way to ringside. Jimmy Uso followed but ate a big boot from Tala and was then tossed over the Spanish announce desk.

Fatu could have escaped the cage at this moment, but opted to stay locked in. He took a Samoan Spike for his troubles.

Sikoa tried to scale the cage but Fatu went after him and tossed him back in. While Fatu was high up, Tala Tonga climbed from the outside and handcuffed Fatu to the cage.

The plan was that this would allow Sikoa to escape through the door, but Fatu managed to escape the cuffs and stop him.

The finish came when Tala Tonga booted the door into Fatu, allowing Sikoa to escape and retain his title.

After the match, Jimmy Uso reappeared and attacked JC Mateo, sending him into the cage with Fatu and Tonga Loa.

Fatu laid out both the MFTs before hitting a moonsault from the top of the cage.
