WWE’s Zoey Stark has provided an update on her recovery from extensive knee surgery, describing the process as “mentally and physically exhausting, and frustrating.”

Stark, 31, has been out of action since the May 19 edition of Monday Night Raw. During a Money in the Bank qualifying match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane, she suffered the injury when landing awkwardly after a springboard missile dropkick. Medical personnel attended to Stark and helped her to the back.

In a video posted to her Instagram account on Friday, Stark gave an assessment of her rehabilitation.

It’s been both mentally and physically exhausting, and frustrating. I’m in a spot right now with my knee where it’s not wanting to bend and give me the full range of motion that I am looking for. And as much as that sucks, it’s okay. You know, I will push through this, I will find a way around it, I’ll get to where I need to get.

The injury affects the same knee that required surgery for a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in 2021, which kept her sidelined for over eight months. She underwent surgery in early June.

Despite the frustration, Stark looked for positives in her situation.

There’s always a silver lining in a dark cloud, right? So there’s a couple of things I’m happy for. I’m walking again, [on a] stationary bike. We got a new puppy, Mad Max, love that little guy. Seeing all of my animals… and them all play and get together, that lights my heart up. So that’s the joy of my day.

Stark joined the main roster in the 2023 WWE draft.

She concluded her message by stating, “We’ll get through this,” before signing off. WWE has not provided an official timeline for her return to the ring.
