A street fight grudge match has joined NXT’s special trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, next week.
Former tag partners Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura will face off in a street fight on the August 19 episode of NXT, which is set to take place at The Met Philadelphia. The bout was confirmed Tuesday after a heated exchange in the ring between the two this week.
It was also confirmed Tuesday that next week will feature a six-woman tag match, with Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx taking on TNA’s Elegance Brand members, Ash, Heather and M.
The match comes just days ahead of Jayne’s three-way bout against both Ash and Masha Slamovich at Heatwave, and is happening amid significant tension between the members of her faction.
A face-to-face meeting between Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe has been scheduled for next week’s show as well. The two are booked to battle it out in a singles bout just days later as part of NXT Heatwave.
It was confirmed last week that next Tuesday’s NXT will feature a #1 contenders match between Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans, as well as a singles bout between Ricky Saints and Jasper Troy. Here’s a look at everything we know about the show thus far:
