Will Ospreay made his return on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, challenging Jon Moxley and the Death Riders to a Lights Out Steel Cage match at Forbidden Door.

His team will include Darby Allin and NJPW’s Hiroshi Tanahashi.

The confrontation occurred following Jon Moxley’s submission victory over Kevin Knight. After the match, a brawl erupted involving Moxley’s Death Riders stablemates, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli, along with ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Darby Allin.

The beatdown culminated with the Death Riders isolating Allin in the ring.

Just as the group prepared to injure Allin with a steel chair, Ospreay appeared and made the save, chasing the Death Riders from the ring.

With a microphone in hand, Ospreay laid down the challenge for the event in London. He invited Moxley to assemble his partners for the multi-man cage match.

Later in a backstage segment, Ospreay confirmed that his team would include Darby Allin and NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi, adding that he had other partners yet to finalize.

Still later, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi were confirmed for Ospreay’s team. The Death Riders team is slated to comprise Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd, and The Young Bucks.

The appearance marked Ospreay’s first since announcing a brief hiatus to recover from a neck injury.
