Former TNA Tag Team and X-Division Champion Ace Austin made his AEW debut on Thursday evening and reportedly has signed a deal to officially join the brand.

Austin, who is best known for his multi-year run in TNA which came to an end just earlier this year, appeared at the taping for Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision at The Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

An in-person report of the event from Sports Illustrated’s Rick Ucchino noted that Austin’s signing with AEW was announced by Tony Khan after he faced off against Ricochet in singles action.

28-year-old Austin was a stand-out name in TNA for years, both as a singles competitor and in the ABC tag duo alongside Chris Bey. Austin’s last appearance in the promotion aired in late May, when he lost a singles bout to Mustafa Ali.

Austin has spent the past few months wrestling around the indies, appearing in spots like REVOLVER, Maple Leaf Pro, and RevPro. The news marks his first long-term deal with a promotion since his TNA exit.
