NJPW has begun to roll out its matches for Destruction in Kobe next month.
The September 28 show will be its next significant show following the G1 Climax and has five matches announced:
- IWGP Global Heavyweight Title: Gabe Kidd © vs. Shingo Takagi
- IWGP Tag Championship: Taichi & Tomohiro Ishii © vs. OSKAR & Yuto-Ice
- Hiroshi Tanahashi Final Road: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Great O-Khan
- David Finlay vs. Yota Tsuji
- Hiromu Takahashi vs. Taiji Ishimori
Kidd missed most of the G1 Climax due to a knee injury but is set to return at Forbidden Door this Sunday in a Lights Out Steel Cage match.
OSKAR (Oskar Leube) and Yuto-Ice (Yuto Nakashima) returned from excursion on Sunday’s G1 Climax Final and aligned themselves with David Finlay and the War Dogs, and are receiving the immediate push going for the tag titles next month.
Finlay beat Tsuji during the round-robin portion of the G1, with most advancing to the playoff portion. Tsuji was eliminated in the semi-finals by EVIL, and Finlay was defeated by Konosuke Takeshita in the quarterfinals.
Destruction in Kobe takes place on Sunday, September 28, and will stream at 3 a.m. ET on New Japan World.
